Is God glorified through your singleness or through your relationship? If you don't feel comfortable answering, you don't have to. The question is to make you think about what you do.

My answer: Sadly to say, in recent times, I have not been glorifying to God. There have been several times recently where I have gone to the bar and had to much to drink with friends and have not acted how a single man should to represent God. Especially to the women around me. I feel so guilty about it. It is a sad truth that Christians have a huge problem with. They are so ashamed, because they have fallen back into sin. There are so many like me, who haven't lost their faith, they still love God, but at times they fall back into sin. It is important to know that God has forgiven us. There is a example I love. Imagine that you are tied to a post by a bungee cord. This post represents sin. Another post is a little ways away and it represents righteousness. No matter how hard to try to run righteousness, the bungee cord pulls you back to sin. Once you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and you run back to sin, you are pulled back to Christ. This is the season I am in now. Getting pulled back to Christ. I realize my sin and although I feel pain that I have sinned, I realize that God has forgiven me. This is hard for me to share, but I am glad. I ask that you pray for me and hold me accountable. Praise to God. I thank Him for given me forgiveness, not only for the sin I committed before I became born again, but for forgiving me when I fall back into sin. And I thank Him for pulling me back to Him.

Firstly thanks for sharing this as I'm sure it was a hard thing putting yourself out there but glad you did. I 100% agree with you on that! You know it's sad also knowing your forgiven for the sins you've made yet choose to take gods mery and love for granted and yet once again do what you've already asked forgiveness for? Although that's how I feel at times.. I think it's not easy going through this alone that's why fellowshipping with othe believers in Christ, asking for prayer and ofcourse going to god will surely help direct you on the righteous path. I will pray for you and ask you please pray for me also as I struggle too in glorifying god in all I do which I'm sure each Christian goes through.

God bless :)

I'm glad I got a response finally! Haha God Bless! Yes, it is sooo tough. I am usually someone that people come to for advice or consul, and in that it is difficult for me to lay my issues on others! I've had friends who have come to me, saying, "Perk man, I'm struggling with pornography." or, "yo perk, I cheated on my girlfriend. I feel horrible." And these are people who have been born again! After we are saved, it is hard to admit that we still are human and we tend to hide our sin. So to this I say, "NO MORE! I am a child of God, born again from the blood of Christ. God has given me strength to overcome sin and temptation."

As Christians, it can be hard to admit sin. More so than for non-Christians at times.

Lol I know the feeling waiting and no reply haha ... Oh right I see? It must be hard trying to talk with someone about what is going on in your life and need some Christian support and advice? I know the feeling. I have close friends but not many who are Christian so I find it hard getting advice from a Christian perspective! It is difficult though for those who are born again to commit to christian lead life. Especailly starting out! No one said that living a Christian life would be easy. Which I can honestly say it hasn't been. I guess all we can do is pray for those who are struggling in their walk and show them support whether it's giving advice or giving them scriptures which relates to what they're going through. I am totally with you on that! And pray that god will help me resist all temptation and sin that Satan throws my way!

Amen to that!
