If everyone looked the same we could come up with a common consensus, but that's the never the case. What might suit one person might not suit the other. It really doesn't matter, beauty is in the eye of the beholder...
Think you took this way too serious. That's not really the point. The point here is a mix of curious about what others think, and to have fun. No one was expecting that anyone should look the same, or that there be a 'common consensus'.

I had a feeling that most of the guys would say they liked long hair. I admit that part of me is growing my hair out for teh boiz the same way most men go to the gym (curls for the girls!). I've had short hair for the first half of my twenties and, although I've received a lot of compliments and I loved experimenting with short hair, I've start to feel like I was not feminine, which is really ridiculous because it's NOT about how long your hair is and you shouldn't change yourself just to appeal to somebody! Though now I've realized that growing my hair out is almost a symbol of "slowing down" and not taking risks.

I'd like to know what it is about women with long hair that men find so appealing! Because when I was cutting my hair short I felt wild, fun and uninhibited with my style. Now that my hair is longer I feel stubborn and like I have a security blanket on my head. If you've ever watched any makeover shows where a girl with waist length hair cries and cries when her hair is cut to just below her shoulders then you kind of realize how attached some people are to something that they believe represents them. Your hair is who you are it seems. Does long hair equal attachment issues and an unwillingness to change and does short hair mean you're fickle and unsatisfied with who you are?

... blah blah blah I talk a lot and think too much!

Hmm, maybe for those with really, really long hair. For mine, I was just hesitant to cut it because I liked it long and also because it took me over 2 years to get it that long. I just dreaded thinking about waiting that amount of time for it to get long again!

This might be a weird question...but do you guys like to run your fingers through your lady's hair? I'm afraid that if I wear my hair curly and my future-man does that, his fingers are just gonna get stuck and it won't be very romantic.

Catholic Hydration Interlink?

Whaaaat!
According to Google it means "An ion or group of ions having a positive charge and characteristically moving toward the negative electrode in electrolysis."

I tend not to believe the "scientific claims" that most shampoos/conditions/whatever put out there. It's usually bogus or just big fancy words for simple stuff. I just buy stuff because it smells good.
OOOOoooo good to know!

LOL Same here

Honestly, I read 'Cationic' as 'catatonic' lol
LOL @ y'all! :) The lady who uses my hair for styling competitions she enters introduced me to it. It leaves hair stronger, softer and shinier than anything I've ever used before, and it smells AMAZING! :) She doesn't charge me to trim my hair when I allow her to use it for her photos, but it is down to my waist now, so most stylists would charge me between $75-100 to trim it. Thinking about cutting a lot off for this though: Locks of Love helps disadvantaged children suffering from medical hair loss. :) I would encourage others to do the same. They normally take about ten inches. :) It is just hair and it will grow back, right? :)

Man I'm afraid I'll be single for the rest of my life at this rate the thread is going. :p I have to have short-ish hair (like not going beyond my chin or shoulder. Though right now my hair is beyond my shoulders and looking baaad. >.<) and have it kinda styled because I don't look very good with long hair at all. I don't mind having long hair but it's just not that flattering on me. I know, it sounds vain to say that (I'm not very vain, though, considering my typical outfit is t-shirt or hoodie with jeans, and I don't even bother with makeup). But my hair is just not healthy and I don't look as nice when it's long.
I think we have already told you that you can't date till you are at least 35 lil :p

Ok lads! There was a thread on if the ladies liked long hair or preferred short hair on their man. Now it's your turn! Do you like short hair on girls or long hair?

Ladies, you can cast your vote too if you like long or short hair for yourself (or on other girls too).

Personally I loooooooove the look and feel of long hair. I have very thick wavy hair and I've been keeping it short for nearly 10 years (like we're talking mohwak short) because it was easier to maintain. Now I've been letting it grow and it's at my collar bone. It's a lot of work having longer hair. One word: POOF!

Well, I think I'd say it depends on the facial features and body height. On myself, I will always keep my hair 6-7 inches longer than shoulder length and straight. It makes me look younger. :D

But on guys, I like bald guys, at least short-haired.. hehehehehe!
just like Bruce Willis :p

Btw, anyone can tell me why I can't use the quick reply feature here??

Beautiful hair, ladies! Error (you're not a mistake) I've heard coconut oil was versatile but it makes sense that it'd be good for your hair.

I like both. Depends on the person. Certain styles suite some more than others. Short for punk alternative styles. Long for metal, gothic, or 'princess locked in castle keep waiting for knight' type styles.

Long hair.

O trestles sweet trestles
With such grace doth thou flow
Ashine with the brilliance
Of a sparkling meadow

By day or by night thy beauty resplends
Like a fine artist's mural
It's lure never ends..

Ok, maybe I'm taking this long hair stuff just a little too seriously haha :D I really love long hair on a woman. And I'm not too shabby at being a poet if I may say so myself. ^_^ Hmmm.. maybe I should publish this.

I'm speaking for my man here, when I say he likes my long hair. If it didn't bug me to sit in one place for hours, he'd play with my hair the entire time. He likes playing with my hair when we're watching movies, because then, I'm actually sitting still.
I like my hair long as well, it always frustrated me when my hair was shoulder length (even though people I know told me it was really cute), I'm not 12 anymore, and I don't like short hair anymore. I couldn't even put it in a decent pint tail.
I've thought about being wild and reckless, and cutting my hair to the point that I don't have to brush it every morning, but then I've thought of growing it back, how ridiculous that would look, and how much I really don't want to have to deal with short hair again. So, I'm leaving my hair long, even though I might try some different cuts to style it, until I find one I like.
I'm thinking of getting it layered

Actually, my intent was to give it to make a wig for my cousin who had cancer. When she passed away six months
later, it was then that I decided to instead donate it to Locks of Love.

Aw. :( I'm so sorry. That was a really thoughtful gift, even though she never got it. :'-(
