Weee! Happy Fourth! My sister and I are taking the kids to a ministry nearby that puts on a huge 4th of July thing every year. It'll be fun. ^__^

Sho, I have friends who have an oldies band and the 4th of July gigs outdoors are the worst! But they're just on stage, I can't begin to imagine how torturous uniforms and marching gigs would be. -_-

Aimee, whaaaaaa? First one?! That's crazy! But congratulations!!! Yay!

Actually the Declaration was signed on July 2nd, it was adopted by the Continental Congress on July 4th. Thomas Jefferson (the author) wanted July 2nd to be the official Independence Day.

I wrote this in honor of it being Independence Day,and felt this was appropriate to post here as well. We should remember that in Jesus,we have freedom all the time,and truly every single day of our lives that our dependence on Him is the only thing that makes us free!

Hope everyone had a fun Independence day :) It's nice to celebrate things.

Spent the morning tubing down a river with my sister and her roomie; then went back to their place for ribs, homemade mac n cheese, empanadas, avocado/tomato/cuke salad, and mango key lime pie (compliments of Publix).

I was hoping to see the fireworks show this evening but the skies here have opened up and released monsoon rains...I'm sure it'll be cancelled.
