"This reflects to me the power of the resurrected Son of God to save those who cannot save themselves. The man is a plain, average Joe (like us), he is powerless, and yet with what strength he does have he still holds on to the weapons of execution so he is guilty as a naked gun. The man's face is a mixture of pain, anguish and guilt. And the only thing that sustains him is the strength and grace of the risen Lord. Note, where blood has fallen, lilies are growing = new life begins!"

I love healing art, music, books, and aroma therapy! I bought three boxes of incense sticks the other day from a novelty shop downtown. I got forest, cinnamon orange, and sandalwood. I didn't light them, I just have them sitting on top my desk where they add a soft fragrance to the room.

For me, art is nice to look at. I enjoy some artist, not familiar with many. I do like some of Thomas Kinkade's work. As far as healing to my soul, maybe but doubtful for me. Being out in the mountains, or looking at a grand waterfall, hiking in an old forest, seeing deer, and rabbits, and critters scurrying about, an eagle soaring over head, fog rolling in off the mountain around the trees, sunrise or set, for me that is healing to my soul. In those setting the Lord is the artist, and my eyes and heart get to witness it as it comes alive around me. Paintings and pictures are nice, but don't touch my soul the way the Lord does in person. ok lets step out of nature, an old couple holding hands sitting in the park, kids playing in a water puddle, a boy playing ball with his dog, or a couple dancing in the rain. that is healing to my soul. My eyes, ears and heart seeing joy and peace in a fallen world. Again art can be nice, but for one to see, touch and feel the same kind of art in real life, all one has to do is go outside.

His paintings were not on the cheap side, and that was before he died. I do also have many puzzles and framed them, the kids and I put em together. also he has/had? mugs that come out at Christmas time. They were only five bucks so I usually got one every year from the kids for my gift.

Thomas Kinkades stuff can be pretty, but way over priced for as many copies that were produced. At bbn one time, every mall from Richmond to DC had a Kinkade store, crammed full of 2000 dollar copies.

Agreed that is why I only bought 7 dollar puzzles and put them together with my kids. They are pretty to look at, but I would much rather be out there myself, it costs alot less :sneaky:
