Hi I'm new to the scene and before jumping in I'd like to know the facts before I possibly dedicate me life to Christianity.. I'm not trying to ruffle feathers or anything but remember been once told that Christians don't believe the dinosaurs didn't exist? Is this true? Many thanks and god bless
According to scripture, even the animals that now eat meat, didn't before the flood. Reptiles, even today, continue to grow the entire time they are alive. If you look at the lifespan of average humans today(Worldwide) you end up with about 50 years verses 500 years pre-flood. If you assume a similar growth rate, and had an alligator that grew even 10 times as large, you "might" consider that a dinosaur.

Another thing. What came first the chicken or the egg? The chicken, according to scripture, right? Everything was created with a semblance of age. If you took all of the top scientists back in time to day 7 after creation, how old would Adam and Eve be from their testing? At least 12-13 to be of child bearing age, right? How about the trees? The other animals? The rocks? The Stars? Everything was as if it had been there all along. (Of course you couldn't see much of them till after the flood)

If you believe scripture, then every time an evolutionist states that the universe appears, in every way, to be much older than what the bible seems to state, tell them that the bible says that everything was created with a semblance of age, and that you are glad that they agree with scripture on that point. Thank them for confirmation that God created it that way just the way He said He did.

It bugs the heck out of them, but leaves them with little else to use to support anything different from what the scripture says.

Dinosaurs evolved into birds. In fact, birds are technically still dinosaurs. To claim dinosaurs are overgrown lizards only proves that you have never looked carefully at the bones and studied the differences between today's reptiles from ancient "lizards" you refer to.

Yes, lizards and dinosaurs are different kinds but to say dinosaurs evolved into birds is just plain ridiculous evolutionary storytelling. Why is only one belief taught? Don't you see a problem with that? How can we think critically and have sound, vibrant scientific dialogue if only one belief is taught and presented? Do you believe everything you were taught? Not everything you learn in school (primary, high school, university) is true. You should be questioning the 'truths' you're presented with.
