I assume you're talking about fixing things we have done wrong.
Sometimes we correct the past by apologizing.
Sometimes there's nothing we can do to change the final, direct outcome of our actions. In these instances, to use the experience for good, we must warn others not to follow the same path, acknowledging that we made a mistake. An example would be when speakers tell teenagers the horror that unfolded the day they drove after drinking.
Sometimes going really far in the other direction helps make us a good in-person example of why it's important to make a good decision. If one is firm about not texting while at the dinner table and explains with a quick sentence or two that he or she once lost a healthy relationship because the texting was making the other person feel so neglected that the friendship dissolved, the words may fall on listening ears. Posting things of such an ilk here are also useful, I've used some of the stories I read as examples to help others.
Regardless of method of "righting wrongs", we must first ask Jesus to send us guidance from the Holy Spirit, and ask Him to help us not to sin again. Also that He will please help us to understand every single lesson He wants us to get from the experience.
