My reading is unsystemized.

Usually I address Biblical questions topically.

Come to think of it, that wouldn't be a bad setup for a blog.
You should create a blog Ritter, seriously.......You love the Lord, your witty, intelligent, and have a nice writing style (I used to write as a profession so good styles always catch my eye)

For those that are struggling as to what to read. Ask God and then trust Him. Next thing you know, you will be reading somewhere that you never thought to look.

One thing that I have done a lot of is ask questions. I will have a question about a particular subject. I used to use the concordance but nowadays biblegateway.com is a much better tool. You do a search for a specific word and can find all occurrences of it in scripture. Sometimes your question will be answered very quickly while other times require in-depth study.

For example, last year I wanted to know exactly what Zion is so I used biblegateway to read EVERY scripture that mentions it. I took notes writing down every description and detail about it. I was amazed at what I learned along the way and shocked to find that it was not what I had been hearing taught. What an absolute blessing this was as it was much more than what I had been told and I now have an appreciation for it that I would have never had otherwise.

Just one more example. A few years back I met someone who was suffering a LOT of confusion. It troubled me immensely and I was in constant prayer about it. I did a search for confusion and found scriptures that detailed the cause of it. One such cause mentioned in the old testament confirmed other things I was seeing in this person's life but just didn't want to accept. After finding out the source of the person's confusion, I found myself equipped to minister to them and deal with the source of their confusion. It also gave me peace by knowing this and greater resistance to not get caught up in the lies of the confusion.

I just wanted to share that for anyone that may have questions that have went unanswered. The scriptures are like Prego when it comes to answers... "It's in there."

I just pick it up and read.

I start at the beginning, and read to the end.

Sorry, but I have a very simple mind.

Cover to cover, from the first page to the last page. Just like any book.

I don't really understand jumping around to different books or different chapters of the Bible. Just as I don't jump around in chapters of a regular book I'm reading *shrug*

I can read the NT in order, easy peasy, though I will skip Mark or Luke sometimes cus it gets repetitive- I know there are differences in the sypnotic gospels, but 80% of it is the same as Matthew (give or take). In school, I studied a lot of the Prophets, Apocalyptic and Wisdom Literature of the OT. But a few years ago, I read through the whole OT in order, minus Numbers...lol! Last summer I read a bit of the Jewish New Testament, and read a Messianic Jewish commentary on the book of Matthew. This year, I haven't picked up my bible or any theological books, aside from The Screwtape Letters. Hmm.
