but I don't want to go to hell though either. I think it would make me sick to worship a god who ruined my life but going to hell isn't pleasant as well.

...some enlightenment might help if you're looking for advice.

I can't say I've never felt that way though. At one point someone directed me to a verse in the bible stating that God corrects those that He loves. Why would a loving God put you through a hellish time on earth? We're refined by a fire. It's the moments of hell that we learn and grow spiritually and emotionally. Hating God or not, tell Him exactly how you feel, you'll be surprised how much good it does.

What is a secondary thread?
You have created two threads in
[h=1]Christian Singles Forum[/h] Christian and single? Seek (or give) advice and encouragement here.

Perhaps you would be better off reading the responses to your first thread where several people very openly offered to help you including a VERY kind post from Woka.

The god who ruined your life is not the God of the bible...you think that because of your afflictions, God is evil right? Well, I am in the same sense afflicted even often mourning, never the less I have a passion for God, so seeking the kingdom is much worth it rather than being afflicted for the majority of my life and then suffering eternal damnation...Don't you think?

It's a different issue though, this is about something else.

Are you here to argue, or do you seek the Light of men, listen therefore:

Behold, to the LORD your God belong heaven and the heaven of heavens, the earth with all that is in it.

For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

You obviously have issues with God and how your life is going.
Many people have them.
They develop feelings about said things, because we're emotional creations of God.
Bad stuff happens, it leads to not so pleasant feelings.
Some of those get directed at God.
I would recommend simply having it out with God in a sense.
Be honest and tell him how you feel.

This is like other relationships.
There may be times where you don't feel so good about how things are going.
So communicate that to God.

Pour out your heart to God.
Psalm 62
[SUP]8 [/SUP]Trust in him at all times, O people;
pour out your heart before him;
God is a refuge for us. Selah

Isaiah 1
[SUP]18 [/SUP]“Come now, let us reason[SUP][a][/SUP] together, says the Lord:
though your sins are like scarlet,
they shall be as white as snow;
though they are red like crimson,
they shall become like wool.

I admit that at times I have struggled with similar thoughts. For quite a while, I really just wanted to have life end in nothingness. Not good, not bad, just nothing. But I came to realize that "nothing" is actually hell. God's presence is the only thing that makes life, or death, bearable. Without Him, you are literally in Hell. So when you look at how rough your life is, remember... it would be infinitely worse without God. Every good thing comes from Him. Without Him being there, you would not be able to have even one ounce of good in your life. A life, or death, of nothingness is much more depressing than anything we actually have to deal with. :(

More great advice, sadchJOY, God bless you, He is, too, I can see it through the words I read hear, keep seeking Him, and, in this case, you HAVE a very Loving family here on c.c. trying to help you see the light of Heaven which is Jesus Christ, who was here on Earth, too, showing you the way to Him :)

Note: I nic everyone, but i'm green and nice, if you don't like a nic, let me know and you will not have one :) The Lord leads :)

Its hard for me, even though I kind of know what your saying, I just have been through alot and dont know what to do. I pray but I still feel the same. Honestly, I think God is kind of selfish. I know we live for his glory but I am a person with feelings too. If my mom saw me suffering she would do whatever she could to protect me and put me out of pain. God has the power but he never did that for me and I feel bitter and angry about it to be honest. why do people who are wicked prosper and have better lives than me. My closest friend is an athiest and she is doing so much better than me, I feel picked on by God. I don't know why he can't just let me be happy.

Hi sadch, maybe this psalm might help...others feel your pain too sister.

Psalm 73

A psalm of Asaph.

[SUP]1 [/SUP]Surely God is good to Israel,
to those who are pure in heart.

[SUP]2 [/SUP]But as for me, my feet had almost slipped;
I had nearly lost my foothold.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]For I envied the arrogant
when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.

[SUP]4 [/SUP]They have no struggles;
their bodies are healthy and strong.[SUP][a][/SUP]
[SUP]5 [/SUP]They are free from common human burdens;
they are not plagued by human ills.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]Therefore pride is their necklace;
they clothe themselves with violence.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]From their callous hearts comes iniquity[SUP][b][/SUP];
their evil imaginations have no limits.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]They scoff, and speak with malice;
with arrogance they threaten oppression.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]Their mouths lay claim to heaven,
and their tongues take possession of the earth.
[SUP]10 [/SUP]Therefore their people turn to them
and drink up waters in abundance.[SUP][c][/SUP]
[SUP]11 [/SUP]They say, “How would God know?
Does the Most High know anything?”

[SUP]12 [/SUP]This is what the wicked are like—
always free of care, they go on amassing wealth.

[SUP]13 [/SUP]Surely in vain I have kept my heart pure
and have washed my hands in innocence.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]All day long I have been afflicted,
and every morning brings new punishments.

[SUP]15 [/SUP]If I had spoken out like that,
I would have betrayed your children.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]When I tried to understand all this,
it troubled me deeply
[SUP]17 [/SUP]till I entered the sanctuary of God;
then I understood their final destiny.

[SUP]18 [/SUP]Surely you place them on slippery ground;
you cast them down to ruin.
[SUP]19 [/SUP]How suddenly are they destroyed,
completely swept away by terrors!
[SUP]20 [/SUP]They are like a dream when one awakes;
when you arise, Lord,
you will despise them as fantasies.

[SUP]21 [/SUP]When my heart was grieved
and my spirit embittered,
[SUP]22 [/SUP]I was senseless and ignorant;
I was a brute beast before you.

[SUP]23 [/SUP]Yet I am always with you;
you hold me by my right hand.
[SUP]24 [/SUP]You guide me with your counsel,
and afterward you will take me into glory.
[SUP]25 [/SUP]Whom have I in heaven but you?
And earth has nothing I desire besides you.
[SUP]26 [/SUP]My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever.

[SUP]27 [/SUP]Those who are far from you will perish;
you destroy all who are unfaithful to you.
[SUP]28 [/SUP]But as for me, it is good to be near God.
I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge;
I will tell of all your deeds.

This is weird. You accept that heaven exists. You accept that God exists (being that He is responsible for "ruining" your life). You even accept Hell exists.

If you accept the Word, read about the nature of worship. Read about the absolute joy that is Heaven.

If you are angry at God, it would be wise to find another outlet for your rage. That and there is something called sin that devastates the world in aggregate.

I've been studying for the LSAT too long...

Sorry. if I offended. I just don't know why I went through certain things in my life.

I'm not offended. Merely puzzled.

We all go through things, sadch. There is plenty of suffering on this forum alone to go around. Needless to say, I'm glad I'm not some people on here.

It doesn't necessarily mean God is responsible for them in essence. The world is one complex place. Thankfully He is there to guide us through if we will listen.

Ive seen supernatural things. I wonder if I am being oppressed by demons or just plain cursed. How to explain such bad luck?

Perhaps a change of perspective is in order. I don't know how to explain your personal misfortune, sadch, because I don't know you and I don't know what you are going through. As it stands, I and the others on this forum can only explain things to you in terms of what is true for all humanity.

Maybe you are not unlucky. Maybe you are simply human. Maybe you don't know how good you have it. Maybe you don't know how bad you cold have it.
