Is it me or are there truly any guys that never want to live as honorable men to girls? It seems that guys are only objectifying women, putting women out like cattle. Sometimes in my world it seems I am the only guy who desires to even remotely treat women with honor & respect? Sometimes I feel like I'm the only guy who wants to live for God and honor all people. I turn off the television, and there is some form of objectifying with every sitcom & movie. Magazines at the stores are filled with girls in skimpy outfits, mainstream music broadcast on TV basically screams out promiscuity, and even news and sports is not good at times. It's tough sometimes looking at the world and trying to live and overcome what is a pretty hypersexual time. It's even harder when it feels like you are the only one in the fight. It's kind of like I am a weirdo for not being like them.

I don't think I'm prude, nor do I think I am timid. (The 2 accusations most people make). Sexuality is a good gift, I know that. And I don't think I'm a Pharisee with it either. I don't think I condemn anyone who does. Good grief! I hope that my heart has compassion the way Jesus has compassion for all the world. I hope that I do. And I know that I could sin just like anybody else. I only pray that Christ helps me stand firm against it. However, I can't help but say that I sometimes feel like I get sick of always having to see sexuality and whatnot all the day. It's just that the question on my mind is Is it Just Me? Am I basically the only guy who desires to live for honor? Is It Just Me?

I think the question you have to ask is, What about the other men in your church?

If the other men in your church are not like you, and you truly feel like it's just you, then I might begin to question just how strong the convictions of the people in your congregation are.

When you're in your church family, you should NEVER feel like you're all alone.

Because of puberty, the drive that comes to all, in one degree or another, the hidden agenda in a majority of commercials and movies use sexual innuendos to sell their products and shows.

And maybe this might be why God said to humble ourselves as children, and I think God meant before puberty takes effect and de-rails many. Now many do learn control at least outside of the home. Yet inside can and have become fiends to sex.
It is a part of the human flesh make-up, a reality and one trying to deny this fact can and odes make it worse.
Any way Kudos to you for looking with actual care.
What did Paul say about this:
1 Corinthians 7:9 But if they cannot control themselves, they should marry, for it is better to marry than to burn with passion.

Best to read it all in context though.
The programing in and of this world is greedy and out for prosperity, and can care less what one does with their product, as long as it is sold.
So use discretion and see truth, to not be programmed or actually be used by the programed flesh of puberty.
Not always easy, yet God does show one that is serious about not harming their neighbor what to do to trust gtod not self to overcome it.
Thanks for your post about not objectifying women, when God did a great and fabulous Job for her to be a help-mate. So we are to love the Spouse as God has and does Love us.
So depending on how much one believes that God loves them, is exactly how deep one will love their spouse.
So anyone that abuses and tries to take away or takes away another's free will does not know God, the depth that God went to reconcile us to himself through Christ, and then to give us new life in God by the resurrected Christ in the Spirit of Christ.

It is law that one is under to do this and do not do that that one gets lost out here in this world on a guilt trip. Where one at one time this guilt trip was real and excellent to be repented of, god right there telling that one that God has forgiven them.
But this world has got a lot sticking on this guilt trip and trying to stop stuff that they are doing and find out that they can't stop. Why? because one tries to imitate Christ and can't. But if they would partake in Christ then Christ through them can and thus we would be freed from what so easily besets us all, being ones flesh selfish desires for prosperity.

The fight remains t be between flesh, carnal nature and the Born again Spirit of God provided to all through the resurrected Christ, once they finalize that they are forgiven by God back at the cross, they die with Christ to self at the death, and then move onto the new life given to us all that believe God, by God, just as God already raised Christ Jesus back to life
Rom. 6:1-11 might bring this truth home.
So let us actually truly love one another as God has shown us through the cross of Christ.
No you are not the only one!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yet there are many that do not care and act as if they do, many people have been harmed by others and their own selfishness, and why it is so important to see the resurrection to be alive daily in Gold' Spirit
Thanks for all that take the time to read this, and trust God further than before and those that begin to have Faith in God's finished work at the cross to give us new life in the Spirit of God
So begin after belief to seek to renew your mind and start seeing from God's vantage point, and be free in God by this. As I believe this is God's will for all to come into unity

No, bro. There are a great many, but I find such men to live somewhat quietly. They're not in the media, on the streets, or wherever you may choose to think trying to flaunt who they are, what they believe, etc... They're just simply going about their lives.

That said, I no longer watch T.V., am choosy about my movies, and listen to many kinds of music (but mostly Christian). It's up to you, bro. We choose who, where, how, etc that we are. If you don't like something, I'd encourage you to change it.

You're definitely not alone, but if your eyes are always set on the world, then you will continue to feel alone. There are many of our brothers in Christ who treat women with gentleness and respect. To any men like that who read this: thank you! You're a blessing and an encouragement. :)
