I'd been striving quite a bit recently, wanting to see people saved, healed, raised from the dead etc, everything Jesus said we'd do and the greater works. But I realised today I didn't really care too much about the people themselves.

I had to stop and ask God to reveal His love in me, in 1 John 4:19 it says we love because He first loved us. I'd tried working in my own strength, not paying attention to the love He's already given me. It says in Romans 5:5 God has already poured out His love in our heart by the Holy Spirit. It's not something we should strive to receive, but just believe His true word :)

I can just say since I asked God to reveal His love in me, things that used to seem big, like being single and not having so many friends as I used to, just don't matter that much.
When we have that love and aawareness of our acceptance by God, it doesn't matter if people are against us, we'll just lovingly ask that God would bless them and change their mind to His. Shalom :)

Yes, it's a challenge...being loving :)

Praying for you that the Holy Spirit will lead you into this more fully.

Your post reminds me of Jesus' healing of Lazarus....he wept before he raised him from the dead. Why was he crying? Was it because of the deep grieving of the sisters, or was it because of their lack of faith, or was it because he was about to bring Lazarus back from heaven? I think it was a combination of all three and it all centered around Jesus' immense love for these people.

Worship also helps faith. Many times the psalmist came to faith through worship of God. The greater God is to you the more you will believe, just like you said about God's love. The more you worship God for His love the more faith you have in Him.

Every single day we need to have intimacy with God in order to let his presence stay in our lives. It's so amazing how much we depend on Jesus. The only thing I can say right now is that if you are with troubles, if you are looking for an answer, Jesus is the answer of your life.
