I work primarily on large commercial projects that typically don't have a lot of exterior paint, so my my job security isn't entirely dictated by the seasons as much as people who work primarily in residential. My employer has a good load of work contracted, just none of it's ready for paint yet. It's just a temporary lay-off until some of these contracts are ready. I have the good fortune of being top in seniority, so I'm the last to be layed off and the first back to work.
