Hey, car guys, no one said the prayer to close the man service. That's OK.

"Dear Lord, thanks for your Love in our live and your leading, you lead, we know that who are yours. May we follow you in everything we say and do, remaining true, remaining men, who know what it is that you want us to do."

there is a Part Deux to that talk, too, i think, I trust Him, that there is, I have something, anyway, that is closely related, if nothing else. I trust you all won't mind, that is , if seatbelted don't mind.

LOL, the Lord leads I hope, pray that tintinman and colakid come back to the cave again after what I put their bodies through, but, boy, did you SEE dem boys MOVE IT :D They should trust I was just being green and spontaneity does have it's shortcomings, sometimes. I pray He leads me, He's my 'trust.' :D

But, yeah, there's more to that story, the Lord has a word on my heart to add to that, I think, I don't know what rightly I'm going to say ( I do have a theme in my head) but I will say whatever I'm prompted. Best we follow Him :)

I like all those cars, too, seems like '68 is a good year for a porsche so I'm going to pretend I'm in one of them and drink the bug juice I brought with . :D

LOL to the stationwagons, the one with the wood paneling is cool, and, hey, who said they don't like green for a color :D , my friend had a SW (forget brand, but it had yellow or green color, I think, and, textured sides, not wood paneling but similar) he got his 16th birthday, and, my oh my, did that big, long piece of steel ever have a lot of giddy-up :D

I have really been having to work lately, have to go work some more, and then bible study Wednesday night and more business stuff too I have to attend to before that. 'Cest la vie. Oh well, the Lord does lead, whatever we do, we should be busy following Him best we can. Trust me on 'that.' :) Later, dudes, NOW GO PICK OUT AND PICTURE YOUR FAVORITE bugs for your bugshake . I got the blueberries, the gingerale and all those other ingredients in the pic. So, just go be bugMAN and fix yerself a drink. Hopefully, we got a blender., If not, we are MEN, mastification works just fine on them critters :D

p.s. THAT green car you posted, LIGHT, is the best ! What a color that car is :D Oh, yeah, vette 'ray is OK, too, I 'spose :)

MEN, back to the man cave ! I made you all a blueberry ginger ale juice drink, that's a shake, yer gonna love it
! You will never guess what's in it, and, I mean, you will NEVER guess. Swig it up as I tell you PART DEAX of the man sermon on TRUST...... And, that crunchy stuff at the bottom of the cup, it's not sediment of a 'boost' of some sort put into your blueberry shake but, hey, you men, all like protein, right? It's protein, like wheat germ but different. And, you're momma would say this juice is good for you, too. :) Probably :D

Ole buddy, dyingdailyHis, and, I went bug hunting today, that guy is like my shadow, what did you men all do today while we were out in the wilderness of the beeee-ute-eeful San Bernadino hills?? WAIT! Don't tell me. Tell everyone on here, go to your laptops and blog your adventures as men in the world to all the fun folks at c.c., enquiring minds wanna hear about that 1968 Camaro with the 357 Cleveland in it you 'bored' to perfection, or, something like that :)

And, without further adeux, time to go to the Lord, I trust you all don't mind a little 'Lord' time in the end of your long day having raced minty-green stationwagons with laminate side paneling, dark green Stingray's, and paint-balled 'til you couldn't walk no more. Well, then, yer thirsty, drink up and let me tell you, this blueberry drink even has a nice 'sweet tarts' flavor to it. Don't ask me why, just enjoy, like the sermon, as we entrust our lives to Him who made us and we give all glory to He who taught us what suffering was life and will lead us always to go, by faith, to do what He wants us to do, daily, as we 'die' daily for Him :) Dear Lord, may this sermon wear on all our hearts, like a cross, amen.

Trust, it's a five-letter word, right, we learned that last time, it sounds a little like a swear word , sometimes, because it's so easy to get upset at others who don't trust us in doing work we assign for them or, maybe, a kid we tell to do something and they do it THEIR way, or, an ex-wife, or wife that doesn't do things 'the easy way' and hurts both you and her bottom line, either financially, or, even, sigh, relationship :(
The body is one we learned, too, that is, the body of Christ, serving Him, communing together, drinking His blood, eating His body, this our bread and this our life, which is what those two sacraments stand for, by the way, the blood is the wine, or, grape juice, if you're doing communion at my church, and, the bread is Christ's body. WE partake in His suffering when we take and eat the bread and drink the wine, in remembrance of 'Me,' who is Jesus, who is 'Him,' who is God, our Lord and Saviour. Amen? Amen :)

What can be done then with our body members together is much, if you were asking, as we men serve Christ we can do sooo much. I think, it goes for the word 'trust,' easy enough, that is, the Scripture, 'a cord of three strands is not easily broken,' but, it also goes for men working together, binding together in fine fashion, like linking up one behind the other, gripping the dirt, and, tugging mightily altogether to try and get that ribbon across your edge of the sand box . Tug o' WAR !
We are to trust one another that we will work our hardest to do our part to tug, because IF all work together, in unison, with good rhythmic, "Pull! Pull! Pull!" even a scrawnier group of men on one side can beat the bigger group of guys outweighing them by 200 pounds. But, there's more, MEN ! Much more. For God, wants us to do those kind of 'technique' things, for certain, but He does not want us to do them on our own. Why? Because we won't win. :(

OK, you notice, we open the man service with a prayer, right, that's because we are giving glory to God, we want His words spoken, not our own. We in it, that does nothing for us, but when we, a group of men, bow our heads and pray together, God hears that and God knows, too, that we KNOW to do what, tintinbrother? colaKid, LIGHTupthesky? Nukedpoochers? DyingdailyHis? Ugly? (get in here, bro, post us some of your 'man' music, or something :D ) seatbelted? And, the rest, do you know what it is God knows we know to do? TRUST, right :) And, that's important, men, it's important to trust in God, with your life, you NEVER know when you may be in a Cassie Bernal situation. God may ask you to either say you believe or die. TRUST :) Trust and obey, there is no other way :)
We NEED to get into the frame of mind that God does NOT want us to go to battle, or, tug 'o war, if you will, without Him, and, that means, taking WHATEVER it is you got in front of you to Him before going, even if it's something simple, like a meeting with your boss at work, HEY! give God the glory, ask Him for that meeting to go His way and NOT your way.

Now, time for a short story of what happens to those that do not LEARN how to trust God, and, remember, don't take your days for granted, DAILY, whether it's going to your bible to read verses or doing a devotional, SPEND time with God before you start each day, just some time, the Lord leads, it's important we do that, guys :) We will be blessed, too :) Just will :)

This is a story of not putting God in your plans of 'war,' of trusting in yourself, THINKING that you don't need to go to WAR with God , and, Scripture, it's from Hosea 10:13, the text reads:
12Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rains righteousness on you. 13You have plowed wickedness, you have reaped iniquity; you have eaten the fruit of lies: because you did trust in your way, in the multitude of your mighty men. 14Therefore shall a tumult arise among your people, and all your fortresses shall be spoiled, as Shalman spoiled Betharbel in the day of battle: the mother was dashed in pieces on her children.
Harsh things happened, didn't they, women and children died, too, :(, at least, I think that's what that verse says. Died, ALL because the men in this battle did NOT trust in the Lord by virtue of who they DID decide trust in. Know who that trust was put in? That's right. Themselves. :( Really is a sad story, isn't it. :(

We NEED to trust in God, men, for ALL the battles of our lives, and, He will give us the rhythmic pull to stand up against a multitude of obstacles that befront us, our little things that SEEMINGLY might look easy to beat by OURSELVES, but, no, even remedial tasks, that seem remedial and plain-jane, and not really that big a deal, ARE in His eyes HUGE, sometimes. Best to have come to Him BEFORE the battle than when you are already in the war, wounded, and, trying to crawl back to Him. Make this your call of duty as a man, to go to your Chief Shepherd, for ALL INVOLVED folks's sake.

Now, we are not talking like 24/7 be praying to God and asking Him to lead you through your day, are we? Men, just maybe, just maybe, yes. The verse 1 Thessalonians 5:17 is a great verse, "Pray without ceasing," and, as men, who MAY one day marry one of the fine ladies out there in the world that God has set aside for us, we ARE to be leading that family and Scripture is clear, a man is not being much of a man if he is not trying to take care of His family. Men, men, men...you can't do that on your own, please, see this truth. And, the moment, you say , 'I can't do this!' That's going to feel demeaning, but that's great, that weakness, for God can begin to work His strength on our life and on us ONLY when we humbly say, "I trust that I can't do this without you, Lord."
And, now, who wants to close the man service with a prayer? See, I give you a 2nd chance to deux the prayer, men :) Someone must want to say it as they think now of those black ants coalescing in their stomach , quite swimmingly, in fact, in those 'acids' of your belly in amongst blueberry and ginger ale :D

God bless you, men , for listening again, take these words you heard, from beginning to end, RIGHT to the Lord. He will do you NO wrong, He reveals all things to us Scripture says, so, I pray that you trust your life to Him, yes, but, also, as this message was really wanting to say to you if nothing else was gotten out of it: trust your day to Himl, too, from the git :)

a little too tacky for me to even wear as a costume.

loose jeans, my black Fedora from back in the 90's, and a mossy green tux shirt with the collar open ought to fit the bill.
Wore that once to a party like what I'm about to describe...

ever tell yall about being the token white boy at certain parties held by a group that referred to themselves as a Car Club, but that at the end of the night would politely send me home advising that there was business to take care of that would involve some gun play, and that I could stay if I wanted but that I would loose no respect if I left then.
This was back when Chollo's were Esse's, and I was tutoring the migrant students up from F's to A's in their math classes.

Forgive me if I seem wistful, I do not by any means wish to glamorize my past. I made many poor choices. What I did choose well in that setting was:
I Always went home when suggested. I gladly helped anyone (regardless of their socioeconomic background, preferences, abilities, or even on occasion, their citizenship) to learn math as a side effect of gaining confidence and self worth. I grew in respect for cultures and peoples different from what I was born into. I came to value straightforwardness, though at times value it more when couched in a setting of politeness. I learned without incident to always ask someone else if it was ok to ask a particular girl to dance, and that if dancing solo then suddenly accompanied, look around to make sure you know who she is leaving with. I learned that I can be appreciated in ways that I do not always understand, and for reasons I do not understand, but the respect and appreciation is more important than the understanding. And learned to show appreciation to other people in ways that they Do understand, because learning their ways shows respect and appreciation, which exceeds the original appreciation.

I think my brain is over heating. Anyone mind if I stick it in that cooler full of melted ice?
Too Bad... though I will remove the last Fanta before doing so.

Hey, I got a part three to the 'trust' man service sermon, it's a lot of Lord-led thinking on my heart, seatbelted, is it OK, if I gather everyone around for it? I hope and pray part deux (two) was OK, I just got a hankering to try and bless all you men, I am not sure that a man cave is for that ,your man cave, I hope and pray, it is :)

Trust issues are def. something that God has helped me grow in, but I still have much room for improvement.

OK, seatbelted, don't shoot me, brother, the word of God is on my mind, so, before we get into talking about man things, like drinking bug juice and driving cars fast and monkeywrenching them into fine, hot-oiled, bored machines, we should go to the Lord this evening. We ALL need to be courageous when it comes to that, OK, men? Speak His words to you boldly when He puts them on your heart. The Lord leads. You will know. No guilt either, not like the Spirit in you will lead you from Him. Just the opposite. :)

OK, I'm going, the Lord leads, this I hope and pray, everyone might be busy but this is part three (what's 'three' in French? :D ) and, this is going to be some paree, paree, wait, that's not how I pronounce 'Paris,' I pronounce it 'skyscraper.' OK, enough with the humor, and, did you ever like those blueberries bonanzas I made for ya in those tall frosty glasses. Suh-weeet, huh, men? And, tarty :D
"It tasted like I was eating little soft, gooey things, but they were chewy, and, I like bubble gum, and, bubble tea, so, yeah, different but good," says tintinbro. "What was in it?"
"It was ugly, just ugly," says, who else, but, of course, Ugly. "Tasted like a Monday, and, I hate Monday."
You wouldn't be related to Garfield would you, brother, he hates Mondays, too, you know. :D
"The taste of sweet tarts was good, just like you said, green," says seatbelted.
Glad you liked them, and, tintin, bro, buddy, I just think you have to know that it was the healthiest blueberry shake you ever drank before, probably. Anyway, don't 'bug' me with that kind of question anymore fellas.
*Green shoulders DyingdailyHis, because he went bug-picking with him for the juice 'flavor' and 'texture.'

OK, and on we go, bow your heads, please, men.
"Lord, bring us through this man message to you, we give all the glory of the words and lessons to you, to work in our life as you lead us, Lord, in Spriit and in truth. amen."

This is about a not-so sweet topic, I mean, it's sweet, because it's the word of the Lord, but it's about the man and woman make-up and how the Enemy messed that all up, and, the message is about that trust that's just different when it comes to understanding each other, the Enemy's advances, and, even, God.

So we label part three, 'The Deception Of Trust,' having already spoke about we needing to trust God has our back and not trust in ourselves in part one, and, telling us to trust that we need the Lord in our battles in life, because, sometimes--and we may not even realize this--we are in a war, whether it's custody of our kids, a job in jeapardy(maybe, a career), or, YIKED!, who knows, maybe, even our life is in DANGER and we really only have one way out of the mess--trusting in Him. That trust is soo important, and, depending on who we trust in, it's so nourishing (God), so, unfulfilling (us), or, so, destroying, and, we all know that Satan is 'the father of lies,' and, who, GASP! can even come to us disguised as an angel of light ! Scary stuff !!! So, KNOW who you should trust, because Satan will kill ya, you will lose without God in your 'trust.'

So, deceiving was trust back in the beginning with Adam and Eve that God spoke in such a way that they were to TRUST Him when God said, 'You may eat of ALL the trees in the garden and eat all the plants and herbs of the field, but do NOT feed the animals!!!' Kidding. Kid-d-d-d-ing. OK, self-admission, I was up late last night, a little tired, watching 'Zookeeper.' OK, kidding again, now, where was I before I so rudely interrupted myself?? :D God said Adam and Eve could eat from everything pretty much EXCEPT the tree of the knoweldge of good and evil, right?

God told THEM, let's keep in mind, those that want to say Adam did not tell Eve, wrong, and, let's not make this a debate. But God told her, and, Eve, so in her heart of hearts, wanted to obey. But, that deception came.

Deception of what, men?
*Green hears silence. C'mon, someone must know. Deception of what? I already said it once, the theme even of this man message this evening.

"Me, me, me," says LIGHTupthesky, raising his hand quite politely.
"Ah, just spit it out, LIGHT, we ain't in kindiegarten now, you don't need to raise your hand, bro," says tintinbro, who, ironically enough, teaches little kids for a job.

"Deception of trust," says LIGHT, giving tintinbro a pointy-eyebrow look. "You should be more loving, aussie dude."

Exactly. The deception of trust. And, for answering, LIGHT gets the Haagen Daaz first dibs, don't worry men, we got all kinds of flavors, only difference is LIGHT gets his own pint EXTRA. So, be more brave, spit it out, don't dally.

So, what happened then after God commanded them to not eat of the K.O.G.E. tree? Eve wound up at that tree. Not sure how she got there, I don't think Scripture tells us that, but, we do know that she did get three and Eve did eat the fruit.
Why did Eve eat the fruit?
Yes, Maxman? Why?
"She thought it looked good," says maxwellln, adding, 'She thought it looked s-w-w-e-e-e-e-e-e-t.'
That's right, Scripture says, the fruit looked pleasing to the eye and was good to the touch. Now, why the other fruit around Adam and Eve ate before that wasn't good enough to the touch and pleasing enough to the eye, we may never know.
But, Eve did something before she saw that the fruit looked good ! What was it?
"She listened to bad music," says nukedppochers.
No, not 'bad music,' but you are on the right pack, nuikedbroman.
She listened to Satan !!! Satan told Eve that she would be like God, she would ccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccc like Him. Her eyes would be opened. So, she ate and Adam was sitting right beside her, Scripture states, and, she gave some of the fruit to Adam and he ate too. As soon as Adam ate of the fruit, the sin happened, there eyes were opened, just like Satan said. Satan didn't LIE, did he? Oh, but wait, Adam and Eve's eyes were opened to their nakedness and shame for having KNOWING they disobeyed God. God STILL gave them a chance to come clean? You bet !

God asked Adam why he ate, and, Eve why she ate, and, STILL, no accountability, they were so afraid of God and God had treated them so good. Why were they afraid?
"Sin," says ColaKid.
That's right, keeed, Sin. When WE sin, we become DIFFERENT. We having become deceived by trusting in the deception begin to become self-conscious, begin to realize that we can't get out of the mess we are in ! And, guess what, that's music to Satan's ears. he wants it no other way.

Sin = seperation from God .

That was Satan's intention in getting Eve to trust that Satan KNEW more than God about what happen to her when she ate of the fruit. Satan said, 'You surely won't die, but your eyes will be opened and you will know things like God." Or, be like God, is how I said it before. Same thing, no?

So, God was RIGHT, wasn't he? For all practical purposes, DEATH came to Adam and Eve, they had to leave the sweet succulent aroma and do-nothingness peace of the garden for a war-torn world, that would REALLY be different, like having to work for a living, have kids for a hurt burden, and, even have to hear of your oldest son killing your youngest son. Adam and Eve SAW all that...... all because of a......

Nukedpoochers fill in the blanks: "deception of trust.' Amazing, nukeds, you can be paying attention while you doodle a Top Fuel dragster on a bible notes page. Nice listeners you got, boy !

What about me, green? DyingdailyHis, you are a jim-dandy listener ! You wouldn't be related to Yankee Doodle, would you? OK, guys, I hope you all know I just been kidding around with ya, laughing with ya, hopefully, prayerfully, NEVER at any of ya, I Love ya all and when we are in this cave here, it's soooo easy to get distracted with things that are not of God, like, well, you know, paintball, cars, and, other things, like
"Women," says DyingdailyHis.
Yep, them, too, those creatures that God made after us, those ones we ARE to cherish, those ones we are to HEAR God wanting us to watch over, not watch flounder. Adam WATCHED Eve flounder, don't you think, Adam could have told Eve to not take the fruit?

But, God had a plan and it was carried out just as He planned, right, but, don't you think that we should, now, learn from that story in the beginning? Don't you think, my fellow men of God, that we should take the LEAD, that the Lord wants us to take the lead in relationship situations, whether we are married, or, just getting to know a opposite sex female type in a friendship, or, yes, relationship, that could lead to marriage?

2The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’ ”

4“You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. 5“For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

6When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. 7Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

8Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden. 9But the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?”

10He answered, “I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.”

11And he said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?”

12The man said, “The woman you put here with me—she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it.”

13Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?”

The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”

14So the Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this...."
AAnyone want to close us in a man prayer before another round of Haagen Daaz , good times, and, NO women ! Hey, cut that out, you all CHEERING louder for that comment than you did the whole message. And, IF the ladies drop in, YOU ALWAYS respect them, the Lord leads. Got it. YOU are the man. Remember, Eve was deceived but YOU are the one who sinned. So, YOU now what's right, and, you are to do what's right and you are to GUIDE your lady friends, Christian and, even, non, as He leads, into doing things that REBUKE and PARRY and puree` the Enemies attacks at HER as He tells her He will take her to Paris and love and you NEED to stand up and tell her that real Love does not just take you places like that. It gets to know you, first, it gets to show you, first, His Love, and, the RIGHT guy will do that while the wrong guy will shower you with roses, chocolate, and, Paris.

God bless you, brothers, PARTY ON !!!!!! :D

Father God,
You simply made us, but we have made it all so complex since then. Help us Lord to leave this complexity behind and grow to have a simple, uncomplicated relationship with you and with those who follow you. God, we mess stuff up so much. I have more than my share of such terrors of error. Help us to do better each day, Dad. We want to, we just fail. You have brought us a long way, Father. We trust you will not leave us half way complete. It's in the name of your son, Jesus the Christ we do pray.

Father God,
You simply made us, but we have made it all so complex since then.

Amen, and, amen, a prayer as beautiful as the sunset racing slowly into the distance, at South Sound Speedway, brotherseatbelted. LIGHTbro, it's all glory to God, just remember He will tell you you can be like 'Him,' but that is his deception of trust, that with God asked to be right by our side He will shed the 'He' from him who is 'Satan,' because our God rules, reigns, and, 2000 years ago broKe the 'chains' of sin on our persons by sending His Son to mankind for all to trust that He is He alone who we should trust, in His act that killed Satan's hope in keeping man, woman, living in sin, living in shame, living without His free grace. Jesus, indeed, aroSE, and set us free, indeed :)
