Ok I have a couple of good ones. I didn't really date till college, I don't consider going to school dances with a guy that's a friend a date. Anyways, during my senior year of college my roommates set me up on a dating website, yuck. I was not happy because they did that without asking.
Being the good sport that I am, I went along with it since one roomie agreed to pay for it. I started talking to this guy, Pete, and we seemed to hit it off. So, when he suggested dinner I happily accepted. The evening of the date I went to donate plasma and so I told him I might be a little late. And I was, just a few minutes though. So I stood outside waiting because we never said if we were meeting inside the restaurant or outside. I stood there for 30 and then decided to go inside and wait. Sure enough Pete was standing there inside. Needless to say there was no second date.
Just this past year I decided to try online dating again. I started talking to this one guy who seemed really nice and "normal". He asked me out for coffee and I said ok. The day we were going to meet I had some party/open house thing to go to at a friends first. As I arrived at the friends house I didn't see the small drainage ditch by the road and promptly drove straight into it. I tried to drive out of it with no success. I called AAA and they said someone would be out in an hour to pull me out. So I went inside my friend's house and waited. An hour later, still no tow truck. I was beginning to panic. It was getting dangerously close to the time I needed to leave in order to make it across town for coffee. I called again and they said the driver they sent out to me got another call and had to take that because there was a big accident or something they were needed for. So another 20 minutes went by and my friend being the sweet person she is said, "Maybe this will be one of those stories you tell at your wedding." I eventually made it to coffee, 15 minutes late. Thankfully the guy I was meeting was late as well. We still chat occasionally but we only went on one more date after that.
