I once preached many years ago on the subject of habits that if someone placed a 45 revolver to your head & told you to stop that suddenly you would find the right motivation to do so. Kinda goes along with this scripture:

2 Corinthians 7:15 (KJV) [SUP]15 [/SUP]And his inward affection is more abundant toward you, whilst he remembereth the obedience of you all, how with fear and trembling ye received him.

Philippians 2:12 (KJV) [SUP]12 [/SUP]Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

It seems to me that there's no fear/very little fear of God in the eyes of the modern church.
The fear of God mentioned in the bible is referring to respect for God. I do believe that confession is very cathartic and has improved my relationship with the Lord. I ask you respectfully not to clutter up this thread with your caustic observations. Personally, for myself I do no care for what you have to say but there are others on this site that may be more sensitive than I am and I do not want to see anyone hurt. Yourself included. God Bless You sir.

Here's my statement again:

Was it direct? Yes, because that's the way I roll. Was it biting? It actually depends on how it bit you. As far as the scriptures are concerned, I don't ever apologize for them.

Now as I reread your statement above, it looks as though you're not only projecting on me, but also a little threat near the ending there.

Would you care to explain your strange statements or would you like a little ketchup to go with 'em?

I have guilty of being intolerant of others who's viewpoint is different than my own. Each of us is a unique creation of God and I should respect that but at times I do not and for that I am sorry. I ask now for God to start a new creation in me and to always live my life in the way the He intended.

It's not midnight but my confession is I don't confess, I just keep everything stuffed inside hoping to eventually find someone I'll trust enough to be that real with. But the real million dollar question is what do you do when you get everything you thought you wanted in life and still feel disappointed with it?
Never came anywhere near that feeling, so i don't know what to tell you.

It must be obvious by now that I am not a perfect person and I have my flaws. It seems that every other day I am saying I am sorry to one person or the other. I posted some things on the Hi Fred thread that I should not have. Hmm....that rhymes. No, forget it! If I offended anyone in anyway I am sorry. Fred, if you read this one day please know that I did not mean to be insensitive to you. Depression can make it is easy to be a jerk at times but I am not offering this as an excuse.

I think that I will just go to a place where no one knows my name. That way the only person I will hurt is myself and I can live with that. That is depression talking also.

I confess I struggle with sexual purity and its tearing me up inside. I have lustful thoughts too often. I lust about people who have never met me, how do I kill this thing. Ifeel like a monster. I have trouble making friends. I have a horrible self loathing problem. I've struggled with pornography.

I do not make threats. My statements are self-explanatory and I stand by them. If you have the courage to make a Midnight Confession I will offer an honest and compassionate response, other wise Safe Passage. That's the way I roll 'em.

God Bless You sir. You have made a most astute observation. There is one here that does know my name and my heart and perhaps that is why I am here at CC. Your reply earns a Thank You and I do not offer those casually.

I have said a prayer for you. I have read your profile and I believe that it would be most helpful to you to take your favorite bible verse and tuck it inside of your heart. We all struggle in some areas, you are not alone in this regard. I will say this, you have exhibited bravery in this confession that was heard by God. God Bless You and Thank You for your post.

Thanks for the offer, but I find Papa John's pizza to be some of the worst I've ever eaten, and He annoys me to no end. I just can't give them my taste buds or my business.

I'm quite sure you are not a monster, especially in a world where many people don't keep the lust in their thoughts but bring it out into action. I think the self loathing may be the root of the rest of your struggles. It is very hard for other people to like you when you don't even like yourself, which makes it hard to make friends. I also know that for me my biggest struggles with sexual purity come when I'm feeling lonely and disconnected ( which are very natural feelings to have when you don't have many friends) because the relational aspect is a huge part of sexuality. I recently read the book Your single treasure: the good news about singles and sexuality by Rick Steadman and would highly recommend it. And remember you aren't defeated as long as you keep fighting, so keep up the fight.

I confess that I have little tolerance for the few bullies who roam these streets of CC. I grew up on the streets of Detroit so I know how to take care of myself and could not care less what these thugs say to me. However, I do care about the garbage that they may say to my friends. A small number of these act out of ignorance so perhaps a small degree of slack is given. I have zero tolerance for the obnoxious bullies who take pleasure out of hurting others who may not agree to their myopic point of view, regardless of merit.
