Missed out on something good?

What happened afterward for God to have shown you that person could have been an excellent find?

Anything different after that sad realization of having missed out? The nerdy-looking guy with glasses or the not-fitting-your-'list' girl will be given more chance now ?

Don't know if I believe the Shoulda coulda card......I think everything happens for a reason, and If it didn't work...well that's for a good reason too. Learning purposes I assume. Either way God opens and shuts doors.

True, God does work it out , one way or another for us, but we indeed have been given freewill and we have those doors opened and we are either afraid, or, unwilling, or, just missing that open door God opened.

But true, stronggirl, we are taken care of, and, in a great unregrettful way if we miss the 'opening.' :)

Proverbs 16:9 God does want us to step, and, not worry because He will lead our paths straight and blessed as we choose to be selfless, glorifying Him in EVERYTHING we do

Sometimes those situations bring about positive changes in our lives if we let them. And, who knows....that person might come back around when we are ready or they are. :) It happens.

Yes, positive change, absolutely, God does not have things in our life for naught, julieannie. God is working through EVERY situation in our life, and, some situations, like a missed opportunity of a 'mate' nature, can CAUSE us to really see God and His goodness and way better.

We can get bitter too, of course, but God too can work through that bitterness, IF we are willing to listen.

His plans for us, whatever we do, mistakes we make-unless you are that guy waiting on the roof for God to act in that flood situation :D -purpose-happen and good things will result IF we can LISTEN to His way out of what could seemingly look like a bummer situation, IF the guy/gal was really liked and lost :( We do that. But then, we should do this :) because God wants our countenance STRONG, needs to be too, or sin is crouching at our door :(
