The Father has sent to us a Counselor - the Spirit of Truth- who teaches us all things (see John 14:16,17,26). As we stay sensitive to God’s leading, He will direct us. If we pray before speaking, the Lord will keep us from over committing our time, and from misleading people.

Jesus took time to listen to the Father before speaking. God will also give us “a word in due season” for somebody (see Proverbs 15:23), if we listen for His input before we give what we may think is a right answer. God will give us the right words to say if we expectantly listen for His direction before we speak.

Romans 15:18 ~ (KJV)
For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ hath not wrought by me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed,

hello becky126, just want to add this verse also...

Luk 12:11 And when they bring you before the synagogues and the rulers and the authorities, do not be anxious about how you should defend yourself or what you should say,
Luk 12:12 for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say."

the Holy Spirit will teach us all things as we embrace Him, through the reading of the Word, we can only get through it with Truth of understanding if He in us is interpreting for us, John 16:13.

We also, in connection to your good post, Gid, we sometimes are so knotted up in life from something or it is just too tough a situation to understand on own, we are to pray in the Spirit and what words will not come forth the Spirit will get us through with His 'groanings,' Romans 6:26, speaking us in prayer through the trial or obstacle weighting us down .

Hiya beck :)

Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

John 16:13 - Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

Ceaselessly, Gid. I guess that does mean 'always,' doesn't it, :)
