I noticed some Christian singles seem to almost have a fear of relationship and the idea of a resulting intimacy that union will bring; and do not take the steps to bring themselves to thier best and be pro-active about availability and resulting relationship. I believe God is all about relationship and various forms of intimacy are doorways for two to commune and know each other on the deepest of levels. In ancient Israel, a person who found a wife and vice-versa was considered blessed by God, and one could not be a rabbi unless married. Once married, the interest needs to be kept and cultivated by doing all those things that keep one in shape and ones persona and intellect sharp; and intimacy explored and developed - all of which leads to a healthy vibrant oneness that extends into all areas of ones life mutually...

...many seem to just sit there and let themselves get out of shape and expect someone will just 'love them' for who they are not realising that many factors come into play on other sometimes unperceived levels that bring about attraction (how God made us)..., and do nothing to better themselves - but expect an act of grace to occur while they snack on hi-content carbohydrates and dont engage in much activity. I just believe that looking after oneself and bringing out the best in oneself pro-actively is the best first course of action to be taken with any single person - you do your part, and God does the rest ...

...so I would encourage those that are single to work on themselves and bring out their best consistantly - in the Light of God...There are 2 wheels of a chariot: one is self-effort and the other is Grace - it wont go unless both are there :)
