What is the best way to deal with someone pursuing you?

Im super ninja defensive when itc omes to my intamacy with Jesus haha - and Im always afraid that a relationship with someone else would be a killer. And 95% of the time im just not interested ( Ild be lying if i said 100% c'mon)

How do you protect yourself and the other person when the pursue you? Ive always done the ignoring ( well, lets say just carry on, flattered, but not interested thing - but after a while yoiu cant help but be deflated and feel like a mean old tart lol...

How do you distiguish between what is just pure distraction - and what is general love/attraction?

Im a keen single person who would lay down marriage for Christ anyday - but is it possible that God would want you to marry as part of his will?

Let me know what you think :)

There are some called to marry (it is a ministry after all), some called not to marry (like Paul), and many for whom God leaves it to their choice. If you marry, it should be to the person God has chosen for you. Work on becoming who you are meant to be in Him, so you will be able to love someone else "as yourself", and let God worry about who and when.

There was a woman named Anna who flirted with me. I told her stop, I was working for the Kingdom. Actually, so was she. We stayed friends. Four years later, when we were both ready, God told me if I wanted to marry, He would find me someone. When we were ready, Jesus personally married Anna and me. We ministered to the Body together for 31 years. When she died, I gave her to Jesus myself.

There is no rule saying Thou shalt marry. If your not interested your not interested. Be straight up with the guy whose pursuing you, im just not interested. Nothing wrong with that. I dont think there is a way to stop any and all men from.going after you.

Attraction is... i like the way you look.
Love is a commitment you make to on purpose love someone weather he deserves it or not.

Id say its pretty easy to distinguish the two.

Obviously this is extreme predestination. Whilst I believe in predestination this is going a bit far. I've never seen a biblical warrant for it.

Jesus Himself says it in Matt. 19:12, agreeing with common Jewish teaching of the period. Predestination (if true) only affects salvation, not bodily differences.
