Since we are all Christians here, I have a question. This might sound a private question for some, but I hope you guys will still respond anyway.

How often do you spend time with God? Can you please describe your quiet time (devotion, spend time, quality time, date, etc.) with Jesus. What are your expectations whenever you spend time with Him?

I talk to our heavenly Father all day long. I really do not feel that it is emotionally and spiritually healthy to consider Jesus to be a 'date' but maybe that is because I am a guy. My expectations in my conversation is to feel the love of God but even that is problematic at times for me. He seems so distant at times but perhaps that is because I am hard of hearing.

I like to spend as much time with him as possible. I have my Christian radio playing 24/7 and being here on cc for me is a great way to spend time with him, idk why but he and I seem to connect well while we are here in cc and I can feel his presence and love a lot of the times I am on here

I have such busy mornings I'm fortunate to open my Bible and catch a few verses. I'm often too tired to get up early, I'm a busy single mom and with menopause I frequently do not sleep well. I pray on the way to work and before I go in. Some evenings I turn off the tv and read the Word and pray. Sometimes I just thank God for all the ways He has taken care of us and provided both needs and blessings. On the weekends I have more time to spend in the Word. Basically my time with Him is a continual all day recognition I cannot do it without Him, I have what I have because of Him.

Mostly scripture reading, working through the "Lord's" prayer as a springboard for personal prayer, and listening to hymns.

The Lord's Prayer has helped me so much in my prayer life. It's all too easy to just come to God with requests when we need him, or even just with "thanks" when something amazing happens. Both great things of course, but entering His Presence with awe and praise really changes the whole tone of the prayer, draws you closer, conditions you for what is to come during your time with God. I love that.
