I want someone who is smart who isn't cocky about it and makes me feel dumb by his intelligence, sense of humor is important to me, because it helps make rough patches in life as well as spending time together more fun, sweet and understanding, I fit inside of his arms when he holds me and my hands fit in his, he has a stronger relationship in Christ than I do because he will be head of the home/family and he's gotta be a good kisser ;)

I am thankful God led me to a guy who has every quality listed here
I want someone who is smart who isn't cocky about it and makes me feel dumb by his intelligence Why would you want to be made to feel dumb?

We all have our areas of expertise and/or interest, of course. Besides those, though, I want to have interesting and stimulating conversations with my significant other, and that requires my gf and myself to be roughly equally smart(or equally stupid) depending on the topic!

Wait... I have another half? I'd have to say then that the quality I look for in my other half is "found".

(I'm only half the man I thought I was...)
I read this while I was on lunch break at w*rk and I couldn't like it because I can't find how to do likes on the mobile page. I couldn't wait to get home to a real computer so I could hit the like button.

"Quality you most look for in your other half?"

At this point in life...

Pretty much a pulse that isn't flatlining.

P.S. CallmeQ--very cool signature. Stitch still rocks! :)
Lilo and Stitch will forever be the best disney movie, and one of my top 10 all time movies. :)

If I ever get a boyfriend, I would want one who:

- Is sober, and is not addicted to any drugs.
- Doesn't make lots of stupid decisions.
- Is nice to others, particularly his mother.
- Is caring about animals.
- Is a cat lover (Don't underestimate the importance of your future spouse liking the same pets as you do)
- Is an introvert, preferably INTJ, like me (I don't see myself getting along with an extroverted party animal very well)
- Likes memes (Duh)
- Optional: Shaves regularly.

Confidence. He must, MUST be confident. I'm already a pretty confident person and I refuse to date any more insecure dudes.

I've been trying to think of a singular quality that would supersede all others, and it's been difficult. I think I've got it though.

Authenticity.

I've had too many experiences of meeting and being involved with women who were a shadow of their true selves, and whose personality at the time was what they thought I wanted to see in their attempt to...I don't know...con me into a relationship. It's difficult to take potential partners seriously if you aren't sure whether or not they are showing their real personality or if they are just a very convincing liar.

After a certain age sometimes that's the only thing that matters a pulse that is.... I had gotten to that age. Not saying you are there Seoul....lol

But Tourist has the qualities I was looking for and waiting 35 years for... Humor, someone I could be in a room with and feel comfortable even if nothing was being said or done, someone who would accept and love me for me just the way I am, no game player from a relationship standpoint, someone who understood salvation and loves the Lord.

But having a pulse was top on my list.....lol

I agree being your actual self is important to building trust in a relationship!

Many of us dream of finding a man who is protective and will protect us, women from harm....including me. However, I am naive in a sense of I didn't see my man being protective until my mom pointed it out and when we were out tonight I saw it, how he had to be sure I was okay and safe as I go to work. Many women see this as being obsessive and controlling but honestly having someone care about you so much that he is concerned for your well being is refreshing....so this is one more thing I always looked for in my better half :)

Exclusivity. The old song, "I Only Have Eyes for You" kind of sums it up. Without exclusivity, I would not feel safe.

I think being Christian and a follower of Christ is like prerequisite - personally, it comes down to knowing that she will stick with me no matter what thru thick and thin and vice versa - knowing that there's a person wgho will cover my back no matter what is such a comforting thought and I want to be that person for her as well.

The ability to be content in whatever life gives us, see the joy in life, and share kindness. I want to find someone who will blast music and dance in the kitchen with me as we make dinner; someone who will sit under the stars with me at night as we drink chamomile tea (or wine!); someone who will make funny faces at kiddos to make them laugh; and someone who is helpful to older people. That person who will be on my side, kiss me until I forget why I was mad at him, and will carefully wipe away the mascara streaks when I cry. :)

I don't have an other half, or better half.

Thing is, everyone wants someone "Smart, funny, nice", etc. But it's pretty individualistic. I could put those things, because I want those things (who doesn't?), but what I consider smart or funny is going to clash with someone else's smart and funny.

Similarities of interests are good, but character matters more. And that can be found in a variety of different types of people. So, I don't really have a list anymore. If we mesh, we mesh. *shrugs*

Being gifted fluffy kittens helps, though.

As a child, I ached to have a father as a spiritual leader. I want that for my kids :). I want a man who takes his spiritual headship seriously.
