As wierd as it sounds, I'm so thankful that I've been sick for a few days. It has forced me to step back and take a close look at my life.

I've learned so much about myself that I want to change. I've seen doors I need to shut and doors that I didn't notice were open. I've seen things in my life that I've been settling for. I've realized how much I've missed my family. I've realized the toll events in my life have taken on me, but how they can be used for good. I've learned what friends are and what they are not. I've seen things I need to let go of. I've seen things I need to strive for. I've seen areas in which I need boldness.

Most of all, I'm sorry that this is what it took for me to be still long enough to see it. :)

There's an old saying that says, "Music is the space between the notes." Sometimes we have to stop playing and let the silence let itself be heard.

It's good to hear that God is working through all this with you. Unfortunately for some of us (myself included) he has to knock us down to get our attention. Sometimes in our busyness, we can tend to miss that still small voice. I do hope you're feeling better this morning though.

o_O, I believe you not. I have spoken to you. You are not slow. Self depreciating maybe?

It was sarcasm as i know im not slow at all.... HOWEVER with that being said, it does take me longer than most to come up with the things jullianna did.

Oh I'm sorry... I feel I have been rather patronistic without meaning to be. I did not pick up your sarcasm sorry. :(

LOL Nod! I've been living my life in the fast lane for a few years (and even hiding here on CC) so I wouldn't have to deal with all of the pain along the way, so the stuff I've missed has kinda piled up. God has a cool way of filtering it all and hitting the highlights. :) I've been settling for less in my life than He wants for me. We probably all do. :)

We can even push PEOPLE out of our lives and choose to be loners because it can hurt too much to lose so many, but we sure miss out on a lot when we do.

One of the most important things I've learned is that I tend to expect more from myself than I do from other people, so they sometimes expect more of me than they do of themselves. If I want that to stop, I need to start cutting myself some slack. I think we may all do that from time to time. :)

P.S. - Thanks Zander :)

Well, I had planned to visit friends in Nashville for this Memorial Day weekend, but I went out for dinner this evening and only one store at the local mall, and had to come home. I don't have quite enough strength back for that. :(

I'm hoping to travel to New England in a few weeks and pray/hope to have fully recovered by then. :)
