I have a small one on my leg from barb wire, got it back whenever I was 9 or 10...more than 20 years later it looks like I'll have to accept that it will never fade away...lol

A scar to me represents....that we lived...we were brave not giving up. We loved and not in vain. For we survived to share our love for Christ, and in the end....no more tears. No more scars. Amen Praise You Jesus :)

This thread is rough for a music nut. I keep getting derailed by songs.

Haha, this probably is the silliest thread I ever started.. But well. :p It's a scar thread! Do you guys have any pretty cool scars? Or do you remember how you got them, doing stupid stuff like kids? Share them with us :p We'd all love to hear your scar-stories.
Do emotional scars count too?

I think there is a beauty in scars, both seen and unseen.

When the skin, bone, tissue is repaired and healed there is a scar. That skin is often tougher and more sensitive. Same with the scars on our hearts and minds. They make us more sensitive to the pain of other people. Sometimes we're over-sensitive to that pain and lash out against it because it reminds us of our own hurts and scars. But when we have been healed truly, those scars allow us to minister because we know what God's healing of hurts feels like. It increases our compassion and care of those around us.

Thank God for wounds and scars, so that we can be used as His instruments of healing.

TONS...I'd have to start a blog for them all! First one I ever recall getting was when I was 5 riding my big wheel. I hit a rusty bumper, sliced my finger...got stitches. Most traumatic one I have is from hip to hip in a very not pretty fashion from the emergency c-section for my youngest. Dr. brought in a plastic surgeon two days later to FIX the mess free of charge. I said, NAH....battle wounds are battle wounds and if a man won't love me for a scar, he isn't for me. Sadly I have all KELOID Scars!

In some aspects, but typically, yes. Lol. Guess it depends on the person. I've dated a guy who had a couple of scars on his face and it didn't bother me.

That actually does sound pretty cool.

If ever get a scar on my head...
I'm gonna say I donated my brain to science.
Hey you would have and excuse if any one asked if you lost your mind. You could just say Nope I gave it away for a good cause

I have a scar on the side of my thumb shaped like a nike sign. Was practicing knife safety of all things, cut a nice deep pocket, now I have no feeling on half of that thumb. Funny thing was I had to calm down my daughter and mom. As soon as I cut it I had a handful of blood and it kept gushing/ squirting. My mom came in to my daughters horrified white face and she started gagging. I think it was worse on them than me. I just rinsed it grabbed a paper towel and duct tape and rode my bike to Walmart for butterfly bandages.

Before that I was helping a friend raise the level of his shed because it kept flooding. Dude was literally I hick. He rigged up different tools instead of buying stuff. So I'm carrying 2 cinderblocks, going down 3 stairs to the walk way and I her my jeans rip. I was mad because they were my good jeans. (Spur of the moment help) my leg started getting really cold so I look down and my leg is soaked in blood! I looked at what I ripped my pants on , it was a shovel with a chipped diesel mechanics flat head. Not only did it shred my jeans I had a nice 3 inch almost to the bone , shredded hole in my leg!
My daughter, 2 at the time, walked u to me and stuck her finger in it and asked "mama it hurt?" needless to say it did.

Now every time I get hurt my daughter runs and hides till its covered and not bleeding. Or she will grab the biggest bandaid and hand it to me with her back turned, even for a small scratch. After it scabs she will now say ok you can pick it now, but wait till im out of the room

I have a lot of little scars on my hands from welding and metal fabrication. Most of them are faded enough were they are very hard to see.

Oh my goodness, crosstweed!!

I would hate to see what happened if they let you loose in a petting zoo!!!

I think all those cute, fuzzy animals would be staring at you... licking their chops... (Don't feel bad, I can totally relate!)

Most of my scars are from surgeries, although there is an interesting story about 1 scar on the right side of my waist. Apparently I was 6 months old and was very sick, the doctors couldn't figure out what I had, medicine was not working. One of the Vietnamese oldwives tale was to make a small incision to drain out the "evil" blood, not to where I would need a transfusion of course. This was done while my dad was at work, my father who was American was furious with Mom and my aunts when he found out. Ironically I started feeling better and broke my fever the next day.

In reality I think animals like me... it's more about being in the wrong place at the wrong time... I'm collateral damage in animal drama xD
Like being the one nearest to and therefore automatically being delegated to breaking up the dog fight xD

I have a bunch of scars....One on my head from when I was about 2 and was hit with a tire swing. I apparently hit my head on something........a few from laser tag, I tripped over a rug and did the movie jump and shoot thing. landed hard and slid across the floor. Could barely walk or move my arm after that, but I wiped out the other team all by myself because they were too shocked or laughing too hard...one on my other knee from a weird bike-like thing that we were racing in highschool....I took a turn too fast tipped the thing and slid into the national guard sergeant who tripped and fell on top of me.....Then I fell headfirst onto the pavement during another race that the national guard brought over to my school for this fun day....At least now I have a scar on my knuckle in the shape of pi......lol
