I saw Star Wars in a drive-in. Of course, that was in 1977.

i went to the drive in with my mamaw and papaw wheni was a kid and watched urban cowboy. i still remember thnking the movie would never end and it being the most boring night in my life. classic now but boring when your like 6 yrs old.

i dont think the kids get into movies like we did back in the day. such a big deal back then but now any movie you want is just a click away.

I still need to see urban cowboy!

And you're right. I also think that the movies today just don't have the same "depth" as they had in the past.

Fun fact Mia, my fav. song to robot dance at office, behind close doors..

This song:

The band built their own instruments to record the track!

Bernard Sumner really wanted a sequencer to make synths and drums communicate so he made it himself.

Sumner hired a scientist to program the new sequencer using binary code!

The band lost money every time a “Blue Monday” single was purchased.

The sleeve were die-cut, costs £1.10 to make back in those days, it sold for £1 in stores.

Thanks for the fun facts...the sleeve image you posted (Attachment 131106) made me curious... I looked it up and found that the colored area on the edge of the sleeve encodes this:
"FAC 73 BLUE MONDAY AND THE BEACH NEW ORDER"

That's more for you to know when robot dancing! :p

*FAC represents Factory Records - a now defunct British label.

I owned that (dare I say it..) cassette! :D I don't know what happened to it but I don't have it anymore. Police are one of my all time favorite bands. :) Stewart Copeland's one of my favorite drummers too.
