Someone make me sleep. Hit me over the head with a brick… a concussion would work fine.

Tell me people of CC, how can I fall asleep?

Benadryl works for me, or if I'm tired and start reading I fall asleep.

Melatonin supplements, I have found, are quite successful at getting me to fall off, but don't keep me under a haze all morning. There IS an initial haze when your alarm goes off, but I'm usually out of the fog in about 10 minutes, unlike other sleepers.

I take melatonin supplements too Shouryu and they work great initial grogginess in the morning but it goes away better than say benadryl

I can fall asleep, but I can't stay asleep. I take melatonin and I've taken Benedryl. Maybe I'm just not meant to sleep.

...increase the strength of melatonin drop concentration to maximum m/v..., and take double dose - its one of the healthiest ways ... and cycle when using ...

...other presences can also keep you awake - to tire you out: draw on Light of God ...

Perhaps it is stress? Psychological. Does your mind race at night?

Somethings that have helped me:

-Melatonin
-camomile tea
-valerian root tea
-making my bed as comfortable as possible
-reading a really boring book by candlelight
-journaling, if my mind won't shut up
-praying (honestly, its kind of frustrating)
-not going online, nor chatting
-having a fan going for white noise
-intentionally trying to keep my eyes open (reverse psychology)
-progressive relaxation (I believe thats what it is called- you start from your feet contracting each muscle for a minute or two then slowly releasing all the up to your forehead).

^Clearly, I've have trouble sleeping a few nights....

Ooo some more tricks:

-Taking a hot bubble bath before bed, add some candles, wine, a few drops of lavender oil and just soak :)
-Not watching tv before bed (especially not the news)
-Getting ready for bed earlier- don't need to sleep but have tea or whatever, and read and progressively get tired. (I'm not the type who will pass out as soon as my head hits the pillow unfortunately)
-Think about the dream I had the night before and play it back through my mind

hmmm well,if I weren't saved,I'd say a fifth of jack might knock you out,but being all Jesus-ee & stuff,emmm...I guees because I rarely sleep I have no bid'ness answering this post. I'd say try prayer and/or if you know someone with a soothing voice or calming effect who is sort of a night owl, give them a call. (this also works with calling friends you find incredibly boring with a monotone voice...always a plus!)

Well, if you don't want to do the drug thing...
Here's another suggestion.

Go to youtube.
Search "megaman speed runs" and just watch.
The ones with no words.
Watch for about an hour, it works for me because of how boring it gets. =)

I put cd's of the Bible on at night. If I can't sleep it focuses my mind so I don't think about things that upset and after awhile (forgive me Lord) I guess I just drift off. Praise music helps, the calming kind, Stryker ain't putting anyone to sleep:)

I have discovered an app that may assist with sleep. Its available for the iPhone called Sleep App. All it is relaxing music and a black screen with colored particles and tails (kind of what you'd expect from a old miscrosoft screen saver). By touching the screen you can move the direction, intensity and color.
