Welcome to the ranks of Starbucks regulars! Keep regularing it up, and they may eventually let you use the staff bathroom. :D
I was at a worksite this week, and one of the first things I saw was a big dry erase board with 'There is no honor in flipcup' written on it.

Sorry Arwen.

When I worked at Starbucks, we had to use the public bathroom like everyone else. Maybe things are different in NY because of the population size. Either way, I'm sooooo glad I'm not an employee of theirs any more.

During my presentation today in my math class I was a little unprofessional. We had to pick out stocks to invest in (I lost money), 5 cars, and 5 houses listing the finance charges, etc. I picked out a SUPER cute house in town and when the slide popped up some chick in the audience said, "It's so cute!" and I replied with, "I know, right?!" I looked over at my prof and he raised an eyebrow. Oh well. I got an A on it, anyway.

I got a new doctor and whenever I go see him, he is the most positive, polite, genuine man. Pretty handsome, in his late 30's and has accent I might add...and married... His last name is Lazarus which I find kinda humorous.

Anyways, whenever I've seen him, he is always very nice to me and when he says goodbye, he says thank you. But the weird thing is when he says it, its like he knows me, like knows knows me. Like he can see into my soul haha. I always walk away thinking to myself, are you an angel? And then thought makes giggle at myself, Arwen don't be ridiculous! If God put an angel on earth, why would he task him with being your doctor lol

Ever have those moments where you do something embarrassing - total *face-palm* moments, when you just gotta laugh at yourself?

(I think these moments are less awkward then they are embarrassing- so not to be confused with Zao's thread...this isn't an attempt to take it over, I'm not a pirate yeesh!)

------------
Today, sitting in Starbucks (yes, I live here now until I finish my 20 page research proposal that's due Monday), I am playing with my lid on my Zen Green Tea and it flips up the sides of the cup squish and I spill hot water over the table, my laptop and papers. Other people notice. I calmly get up go get some napkins and clean it all up; trying not to make a bigger scene or look embarrassed. With total class~~

I get up to get my cup refilled, then not even 10 minutes later, I find myself playing with the lid again and it flips up in the air and lands on the floor. I calmly pick it up and throw it in the garbage and get a new one. You'd think I would have learned! Atleast I didn't spill it on myself stuff this time!

Arwen! Stop fiddling with your cup, just stop it!

I'm usually too busy laughing at you to feel embarrassed myself.

This is something that I do on a regular basis (well, not regular, but it's not accidental, either) which makes it a bit more embarrassing.

I live with my parents. The other day, they were both gone and I was home by myself. Someone rang the doorbell. I didn't really want to answer it, even though it was the middle of the day, because we don't really have people come over that often, or if they do, we know they're coming.

I wanted to see who it was without them knowing that I was there, so I slide down from my chair in the living room, get on my hands and knees, and stealthily crawl to my mom's office, where I very carefully peer out the window to see who was at the door (I can see from that angle but they can't really see me). There was just this guy standing outside, smoking. After a bit he started walking off down the street. I watched him to see which house he came from so I could ask my parents if they knew him, but he just kept walking down the street and didn't stop at any house or car, just kept walking. So, I'm kind of glad I didn't answer, I found that a bit strange.

That's not the first time I've stopped what I was doing, dropped to the floor, and crawled to the window in an attempt to not be seen when I'm by myself.

YOU HAVE DONE WELL, RACHEL.
Ha! I wish I could have looked that cool. :p If only it was like that. I should have put it as "stealthily" (with quotation marks) because I'm not the most graceful/stealthy person. So it was probably more like this:

You can't see me because I can't see you!!

Rachel, you are not alone in doing that. My family is the same way, except for my dad, he opens the door for anyone. But, my mom always looks to make sure who it is, and I've adopted that too. Sometimes, I'll do the sneaky maneuvers and then peek behind the blinds sneakily as to not let anyone know that I'm moving them slightly to take a peek. lol I say everyone should do that because there are crazy people in the world and I've watched the news way too much to just be oblivious to the nuts out there.
