What is your spiritual gift(s)?
As a single person, we do have more time than spending expending energies on feeding kids, carting kids to football practices, showing endearing love to another, so, this that why I list thisahere thread in front of we singles sheep


KayM's thread got me to do this kind of thinking, the Lord leads, but, yes, what 'gift' has God given you to help others learn more of The Father, The Son, and, The Holy Spirit?

Are you a teacher, able to aptly walk people through the murky waters of baptism explanation, and, ehat John meant by 'I baptize you by water but One comes after me who will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.' ?

Are you a pastor in the making, what kind of voice do you have, can you preach FIRE AND BRIMSTONE in a way that it's gentle as salt and light? Can you listen to the Lord illuminate you and, thus, impart His words to others, enlightening them, making them think twice of the current 'path' on and choosing a 'Jesus' path?
Squidget is this category, I know this because he is a pastor.

What about prophecy? God given you that gift, to be able to tell others of great things of Him and them as they follow Him. By the way, you will know if prophesy by another is from God IF it can come true (Deuteronomy 22:18 I believe says that Truth ) Someone said, 'We will all get new bibles in heaven.' Disbelieve it immediately as prophecy, right? We know we can't know that is fact until we die.
I do not know of any prophesyers on c.c., maybe 'cookie'

Apostleship. What about mentoring others, not just teaching them but discipling them, getting into one(s) life and taking on deepening their understanding of God through your exampleized 'Christ' life? Jesus made apostles of disciples, who became His most avid followers, can you use your time and resources to christian-big-brother another? I think lightningclap is this one, I think he has time and resources and would enlighten another/others, teaching, too, is his gift, I think.

Evangelism? Could this be YOU. ONE mentionable is 'jilly81,' I often see her introducing herself to others on c.c., but she also is the only one I know of to ever do a 5 star thread. That means, I guess, that you are 'liked' by a lot of people, and, thread visited by many. And, the thread was on how jilly met 2-3 people and told them about the christian faith while they were yet muslims and atheists. Most, in some form, have 'evangelism,' EVERYONE has at least one 'calling' and, the 'gift(s) for your calling are given by God to the individual believer 'as He wills.'

So, there you go. I will list this 'spiritual gifts' test. And, in a poll, I will list those 5 above mentioned 'calling' choices as well as many different spiritual gifts.

Examples of spiritual gifts...
1.wisdom - is wise, helps others steer clear of danger, which they know comes rom God, not Confucious .
2.knowledge - is with a lot of info to tell others, like bible knowledge.
3. Healing -faith heals, they have great faith 'in the name of Jesus.'
4. Interpretation of tongues - they can translate for others in body of Christ
5. Speaking in tongues - done right, as Scripture shows, edifies 'the body.'
6. Helping others - someone has a problem, you go, without thinking twice
7. Giving - someone standing on street corner with sign and money bucket, you give.
8. Mercy - Others that wrong you, friends and enemies, you forgive and forget, completely
9. Love - you hug family members when coming going, it's you, a given

LiamsON is apostle like lightnin' , ugly would be apostle, he always puts things in perspective, I would put naut. in helping of gifts so teacher or apostle. I guess I will stop, for now, with milady, kayM, hmmm, I guess I would say apostle she is good at explaining things, and, teacher, even, maybe, she said she was 'E' in her meyers briggs, so, maybe, 'pastor' .

You'll be happy to know that I'm not a Preacher.

But in all seriousness, I've done Spiritual Gifts Analysis, and sometimes I really wonder how accurate they are. Usually, the top two are Prophet and Evangelist, followed either by helper or discernment. In the past, I've questioned the one about the role of the Prophet, simply because I always thought that was something only a man could be. Now I know that the purpose of the prophet is to declare the Word of the Lord, which is something I love to do. And I know now that women can be in that role, it's just used in a different manner from men.

What I usually am not is giving or merciful (and if you know me in real life, you would know how true that is. I have a slight temper that I've had to learn how to control. And sometimes I want to judge other before hearing the whole story. And when that happens, I usually have to eat my words.)

I say as singles we have more time but some are singles with kids, which is great, of course, the Lord leads, and, so, I just meaning to say , as a single,.with , like Paul.says, we can concentrate ourselves on Him fullly while married couples concentration is on each other.

Naut, helping others is a great gift, it is definitely what Jesus did, doing it from the goodness of your hesrt is a great thing.

It also makes you quite marryable to the ladies that see that in focus (see you helping others)

i know in my discipleship that i was told that the gifts were dead. but i kept seeing the Lord at work, i kept seeing gifts of the Spirit being used. but are they ours to claim, or are they only on loan as they are needed for what task we are called to perform.

so i could check off lots of boxes, because i have seen God use me in those ways, however it is never 100% of the time. it is only when occasions present themselves where something has to be done, by someone and i suddenly find myself motivated to act.

in a way like a blog i found sometime back where the author told of being compelled to pray over someone for their arm to be restored. apparently it was to be removed as it had rotted. and it was restored, healing began that moment. now he claimed that this was an act of God to prove to someone else present that his witness was true and of God. and apparently, this was replicated often for this person's benefit. but he also states that he does not have the gift of healing and that the person being witnessed to decided to run away rather than face reality. (what ever, it really is a soap opera to read!)

so is he like me? someone whom is just available and God uses them at His discretion? makes you wonder concerning the whole gifts issue.....

Chipper, our God wills His gifts of His Holy Spirit 'as He wills.' 1 Cor. 12 states.
So, we are to be in right understanding of that and, God knows us perfect so.you bet He will perfectly will you the perfect gifts to help you bless others, and, surely, you get blessed too, rewardrd on earth and heaven where your mansion awaits

Chip, the Gifts of the Holy Spirit are gifts that are to be used to Glorify God. We receive them when we are saved. (Some would say otherwise, but will not go into that.) Each and every gift is designed to be used. We don't always know what are gifts are, but God does, and He will use them.

There are some gifts, (which is probably what your discipleship class was referring to), that many people believe are dead. These gifts include speaking in tongues, interpretation, healing, prophecy (not to be confused with the prophet), basically, your miracle gifts, because we have the Bible. I personally believe that they are not dead, just not as used much. I also personally believe that many of these miracle gifts are also misunderstood by all mainstream denominations, although some individual churches do understand. The question come too, when are the usage of these gifts Biblical and when are they not Biblical. If you study the writings of Paul, Acts, and the Gospels, I believe you will have a better understanding of what these gifts are and how they are to be used Biblically.

My results as follows for taking test. I encourage you to.pray first, ask God to guide you through His Spirit to.all understanding and releasement of knowledge within yourself to open book yourself to what are your spiritual gifts .Mine are listec below faith is strongest, followed by 'exhortation' and 'evangelism and poverty.
Least gifted in tongues, administration, craftmanship.

This is interesting test, takes about a 30-45 minutes of your time, so , not too long and gives you opportunity to see what God has gifted you in from self analysis.

LOL, but I have FAITH tnis test can be a wellspring to your life of present and future blessing and I EXHORT you to take the test and summary what gifts you found your strongest and which your weakest.
And, even inbetween, middle strength gifts can help.you too, like mine were 'encouragement' and 'discernment' with '11' scores .

Mr. Green, I think you misinterpreted what I wrote. I never said women teaching men, I said women who have the role of prophet, but utilize it in a different manner then men.

Chipper, I would say your first 3 or 4 listed gifts are ones to ask God about , and, for lower score ones, if wishing for those gifts , remember the
ASK ANYTHING IN MY NAME AND RECEIVE verse

Also, your lowest score gifts can be concerning to you, perhaps, ask God for wisdom in how to make sure, if for example, your score is low for 'mercy,' ask God how you can become more merciful

What is 'showing'?
Mercy me! .I can only imagine what one can do with that gift.
You just may have admin duty in your future.
You may, it is your weakest link, so to speak, but that score means God could use you in that great 'showing' and 'telling' way. And, you thought kindergarten show and tell was fun !

Thank you, Sir! The plan is for me to take a few classes and get ministry credentials, but at the moment I'm limited due to life circumstances. I'm constantly plugged in at whatever church I'm at and I love it! Something always feels missing if I'm not ministering or helping in some capacity.
I didn't realize that faith counted as a spiritual gift either, but after reading the supplied definitions and looking into it a tad further it makes sense. I think it's pretty cool
