Of course everyone says you should read your bible and pray. but my own personal method. i make point to hang out with my christian friends as often as i can. they keep me looking towards God and make me believe that living a Christ like life is possible. and when ever i'm feeling down i go on a worship binge and listen to nothing but worship music for a week straight. never felt closer to God after those. >_<

I begin each day" before I do anything else " thanking God for it.. I hand Him my heart and ask Him to prepare it.. I hand Him my words, and ask Him to guide them properly out of me. I ask for His help , and to prepare the way I to go .. I spend a lot of quiet time with no noise , no distractions.. I trust , listen and ask Jesus to lead the way.. I believe and follow Him.
