I'm really tired of people spelling my last name wrong, even after I spell it out to them. Its long but its not complicated. If I get married, I hope his last name will something simple like Evans or Murray.

I never thought my last name would be so hard to learn how to spell....then again, I never thought my first name was hard to figure out how to pronounce. I was wrong on both accounts. lol

I've been so busy lately that I feel like I have to take a break just to breath. Took my kids to the beach last week, they've been begging me so off we go, and the beaches aren't far and we have 12 beautiful beaches all in a row here. Well the lake is beautiful, but it's gross. It's better then it was years ago, the pollution that was being poured into it is gone, good thing. But there is still bacteria in the lake. I will go in the lake but I don't swim in it. My kids love to swim and explore the lake, but I know my son will get an ear infection, always does. Drives me nuts, but how do you take a kid to a beach and say, hey don't swim in the lake!? You can't, you just can't. So ear infection it is. Ear drops he has.

Yes, first impressions do matter. Doesn't matter how much we don't like it, or think it's unfair, or think it's being judgmental. Some of us are able to quell the innate habit of judging based upon first impressions, but not everyone. Especially in the world outside of friends and the church.

The world is a hard and bitter place.

Oh for simpler days of the past. I wonder if I could reclaim them, how I would do that.

Shhhh, don't let God hear you say that :)

WE all get frustrated, have things that suck in our life but God sucks it all up, with His way of doing things in our life, through our faith in Him. Phil. 3:8 is a great verse, the gist of it I read is this, by 'faith in Him, one gains Christ.' Now, this is a peace to our life here on Earth, especially for we Christians ! We who believe in God's way for our life, who have chosen Him in our life for ALL of our life and who's one moment in time accepting Him was special, indeed, quite likely, 'tear' special :)

We realized that ALL we did that was not good all our life, all our wrong things done, are COVERED by the blood of Christ, that God's grace covers us and all we are to do is go forward the rest of our life, as perfect as we can go, which He will lead us to "be ye perfect as He is perfect.' We are not perfect nor ever gonna be but we are His and His power in us, His indwelling Spirit inside us, living , breathing, acting, showing, and, growing us will be such a great breath for us to breathe, when we suck Him in, to our life, to our direction we want to go, letting Him lead us everywhere we go :)

We reclaim our simpler days of our past by realizing that He is our future, not to mention, our present, and, yep, He also was right there in our past, watching us fail before coming to Him, drawing us in, waiting, waiting, for us to pass a point in life that we could become one of the 'many' who've chosen Him as personal Lord and Saviour of LIFE ! :)

Be of good cheer, for in this world we will experience trials, tribulations, in this cold, bitter place, that is not our home, but He will get us all through our troubles, not necessarily make us not go through those troubles--remmeber, God took Moses and co. THROUGH the red sea, not around it :) --- He has overcome all that's in the world and wants us to be in it, not of it, and, letting His Love shine through to others wherever He leads. The Lord leads (us all) . :)

Be always with God and when this world gets you down, makes you want to reclaim the glory days of your past that were so feeling good but were not doing good, put your trust in Him, let Him fill up your senses, come fill you again :)

I wonder if John Denver , in some way, was singing about God in this song.
Regardless, in all you do, let God show you all the world around you . You will not be disappointed, I promise you, you will touch, feel, taste, see, hear things differently, in such a 'good' way that you never felt nor heard, nor seen, nor tasted, nor touched ever before :)

Taste that the Lord is good. See Him, that His ways for you are filled with goodness, only are good, and, in such a great way, all the way-won't you stay, won't you stay, won't you stay, covered by His Love, grace, mercy :)

Have you ever gotten so lost in another person that you almost forgot who you were? Do you ever become so accustomed to caring for and protecting other people that you forget that you are a person who needs care and protection as well? Do you ever allow more stress and turmoil in your life than God ever meant you to carry?

This is where I find myself and it is time for a change. I've spent the past few days thinking about who I am, who I want to be and what God has called me to be. I'm finally recognizing that it is okay for me to have weak moments, no matter what others expect of me, and to want to be cared for and protected, whether I'm capable of doing it for myself or not. And I am shedding things in my life that steal my joy and my peace. The toll is too great and I can no longer abide such things. God never intended it.

I know this year will bring change. God is in it, so whatever that change may be, I know it will be for good. :) I pray the same for all who read this.

God bless Jullianna, what you are doing it takes courage. It might ruffle a few feathers  I know that God will lead you in whatever change that may be. Personally, I think the fact that your heart is so open to God is quite remarkable, and a good example :)

Today in church I will be going up to the front to make an affirmation of faith.

Keep in mind that this will be done in front of 120+ people, not to mention those who are going to be listening via radio.
And your purpose behind this affirmation is?

God increased my understanding this past month and I wanted to share it with you. Actually I am encouraged by God to share this with you. So I don't know the significance of it, but I know that God knows... and maybe you do as well.

Lately God has been tugging at me to get more involved with other believers; to just be around them and surround myself with them and see where He leads me. As I was doing this, I suddenly realized that my depression was lifting and being replaced by joy. Little by little on a daily basis. It was happening so subtly that I was not even aware of it. That emptiness inside was being filled. I wondered at this. Why? I sought the Lord on it and this is what He showed me...

He said, "Have I not told you to seek the kingdom of God and my righteousness and all of these things shall be added to you?"

"Huh?" I thought. "Exactly what does that mean? What exactly IS the kingdom of God?"

He showed me a kingdom... I saw a great palace with a ruler standing within it. There were other rulers that were given authority beneath that one ruler. There were servants in the palace and many citizens within and without the palace.

God likened His kingdom to a kingdom on the earth showing me that His kingdom here on earth... the kingdom of God on earth... is the body of Christ... us...those that believe and have received... with Jesus as Lord and authority over all things upon the earth.

So... I asked the Lord, "So you mean to tell me that by seeking to find others that believe in you, I am seeking the kingdom of God?"

The answer was a clear "Yes".
Not all that say they belief do, and this you will learn to become wise as a serpent and harmless as a dove, many are out for the self, and act as if they are not, trying and deceiving the very elect if possible.
Peter was told by Jesus, that Satan wished to sift Peter like wheat, but Jesus said he has prayed for his Faith. And when Peter returned he would be able to strengthen the brethren. And Peter did in 1, and 2 Peter

And in Isaiah

Isaiah 29:13 The Lord says: “These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is based on merely human rules they have been taught.

And you will know truth and truth will set you free, as long as your desire is:

"Comfort God by letting God know that you would see God just to dwell in God's Presence. Not for teaching, not for material gain, not even for a message, but for God. The longing of the human heart to be loved for itself is something caught from the Great Divine Heart."

I am elated for you on your deeper walk in knowing the Savior

Yes. The Lord has been working with me to understand the wiles of the devil in order to resist him and his subtle deceptive ways.
The devil is like a wolf seeking to prey upon the sheep. A wolf will seek out to devour any sheep that have wandered away from the flock. This is why he tries to get us to isolate ourselves. He lies to us and tells us that no one else understands what we are feeling or going through. Yet this opposes what is written in the scriptures when it tells us to rejoice knowing that we all suffer the same trials and tribulations.

The Lord wants us to rejoice in this knowing that we are not separate from the rest of the body. Rejoice knowing that others share in the same struggles so that we would not abandon assembling together in our Lord Jesus Christ. As ambassadors of Christ, we are able to come to one another when we are weary and heavily burdened and find rest. By resisting the temptation to isolate ourselves, we resist the devil and he flees from us instead of making ourselves easy prey.

Likewise, the enemy is likened to a roaring lion roaming about seeking whom he may devour. Lions prefer to prey upon the wounded and weak within a herd because those get separated from the rest of the herd. In our case, we have all been wounded and it is through our weakness that God's strength is able to shine. So as a wounded and weak herd we all stay together not wandering away nor leaving any behind. Then God's strength is able to keep the entire herd safe.

Thank you for sharing. :)
John 16:33I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

I got it from a book, so go ahead. It is a very powerful statement. I have it written in my Bible too.
Yes it is just as "no man can have one face to himself, and another to the multitude, without sooner or later becoming bewildered to which one is the truth

It's 12:05 AM, I don't work tomorrow morning so I can stay up late.

I think I'm going to tackle the mound of dishes in the kitchen soon. I hate doing dishes. My mom usually does the dishes, but I love her, so I want to do the dishes for her.

Love makes you do willingly do things you normally don't like doing... Like dying on a cross for a wretched sinner (now saint) like me.
and the motivation is LOVE God's type AMEN!!!!!!!!!!
