Checking out this new local coffee bar, social club right now. Good place. At night they have small venues. During the day, lunch and coffee, students come to study or whatever. This place has everything. It will have to do well.

This place is literally full of attractive (what I find attractive) guys. The ratio is 2 girls: 9 guys.

So while I was waiting for the sourdough to rise (takes a lot longer than bread made with a yeast packet) I started poking around in other forums here at christianchat. Then I remembered why I don't poke around in other forums here at christianchat. There are some scary places out there!

So I retreated to CC Singles and here I remain. Guess I'll run a few music projects while I'm waiting for the bread to rise.

It's not that bad in the other forums...

Ok, well, it can be. A lot. But! That's because all the fun people are always in here...mostly...

I'm still trying to jump-start the Family Forum. I'll keep trying til it works. I've no idea what the other forums are like currently...maybe I should venture out there.

Note to self: Digging up the driveway is a bad idea. Well, maybe not bad, but dumb. Don't do dumb stuff.

Well, I'm back, everyone!

Had fun while I was gone.

My laptop is being weird. The A key is sticking for some dumb reason. Agh.

Read this today. I have never read something so accurate. This is a complete gist of a present and constant tension I go through on an almost daily basis. Self-awareness coupled with drive to be authentic isn't always a good thing:

Choices of clothes, places you go and who you talk to are choices of how you represent yourself and how you want to be, and it is easy to get caught up in a constant awareness of this, to the point where something as simple as picking a shirt becomes a small existential crisis.

Went to a new bar with a friend tonight. More like a dive bar/ pub sort. Older crowd; around our age. No inappropriately dressed girls. It was nice to get out and be social, listen to live music and have a glass of wine. Also to talk to more of the male species.

I think I'm going to make Chinese food tonight. Well, no, not really, because the chicken I have is American. And the rice might be too.

So I guess I'm going to try to make American food immitate Chinese food.

Chickens haven't got any rights at all. I have no idea why my brain jumped over here, unless it was some super quick thought about dressing up dead chicken as something else on Halloween...how do I know the chicken would've wanted to celebrate Halloween? How do I know what the chicken's religious beliefs were during its feathery little life? Maybe the chicken was allergic to soy sauce, maybe it was diabetic or...or...

Maybe the chicken didn't like Chinese food and would feel really insulted if I tried to serve him as such.

If that's the kind of chicken I have in my freezer, maybe I don't want to eat it after all, not with all those chicken issues it had when it was alive.

Oh, dang, I should probably get that out of the freezer if I'm going to make dinner with it.
Found some chickens for you - I don't think they care how you cook them.....you can see they have already had their bath....ready to cook....go......

Hmm... for some reason we're low on "This holiday is EEEEEVIL!!!!" threads. Scanning the Bible Discussions forum I didn't see one single thread about halloween on the first page list. Nothing about Christmas either. There was one thread about Christmas being pagan, but that was weeks old.

I'm sure not about to start any of them, but it looks like we're not gonna meet quota this year.
It's the Economy. Things are apparently more evil when the economy is nearer to a peak than a trough. Oddly the numbers say the economy is getting better but public opinion says the economy is still getting worse.

So.... if I'm picking her up at ten, and it's too cold to wash the car... Why did I get up at six thirty???

I blame the weather. It's been unseasonably warm. People probably feel like its still the end of summer so they aren't thinking about holidays yet.
