A possum went through our trash last night and stole an empty jar of mayonnaise.

Anyone else read this and see a cowboy type of figure riding off into the sunset atop a giant bucking molar? I wish I could draw; I'd give it to pipp for her new avatar. (I know you meant ridding but sometimes the typos are funnier)

Here let me fix that deprivation. The white stuff….. that's snow. I know where to find lots of it this time of year.

Or come visit me here. High today was only 18 C (I think that's about 64 F) and it's getting so cold at night that I miss central heating and love my fake down comforter I brought back with me from the US. It's the least humid time of year too, which isn't saying much, but should the sun come out again it could be downright pleasant.
I thought the "riding" typo was pretty cool too! :D

Could you send me a shipment of snow? I can pay you with sunlight and humidity - quote your price. :p

Got it. Though, that mayo makes me feel uneasy, probably because it has the word 'hell' in it. It just creeps me out. I'm the same when I see a box of devil's food cakes or any other product that says it, or even stuff like satin sheets.

At least those aren't satan sheets. Blue Plate mayo is excellent as well without the evil connotations. Actually, I prefer angel cake over devil's food cake with sinfully rich frosting.

Mayo is a divider of people it seems. My grandmother is adamant about Blue Plate only. My uncle will only use Hellmans. I don't know anyone who uses Sauers, but someone has to because they stock it at the supermarket.

all mayonnaise is an abomination (unless it's a homemade emulsion that is used immediately)

I'm sure that's supported in the Bible somewhere.

I leave this Forum for 4 hours and I come back to find everyone arguing and fighting. Can't you all behave yourselves for once??

The life of a quack mod is never easy.

Last night's concert was interesting. This was not the Nutcracker performances I have posted about, but another orchestra. We played at a community center. Lousy acoustics, but that is nothing new. My tone was really weird sounding...harsh and brittle. This made me question myself and play even worse. :( At intermission, one of the other horn players suggested that we move our row to fill in some of the gaps in the row in front of us, since some of the violas were a no-show.

The difference was like night and day. I had been playing into a wall and glass panel and the way the sound bounced back was not pretty, although it wouldn't have mattered as much by the time the sound made it to the audience. Still, once we moved, it was kind of like the Popeye/spinach thing as far as my playing went. I'm sure someone could write a huge devotional about how if we do the same things, but with just a teeny bit of tweaking, that could be the difference between something disastrous and something beautiful.

*Picks himself up off the floor*
(I saw the text preview and wasn't expecting that view when I got here.)
*brushes himself off and tries to look casual as he walks back out hoping unnoticed*
