Just made chicken salad for lunch and ate it. Mayonnaise, why have I always thought I hated you? I wish we would have become friends years ago.

My poor mother, on the other hand, may die of shock when she discovers how much my tastes and eating habits have changed. Either that or she won't be able to stop talking about how much I've changed. I really hate it when she makes a big deal out of stuff I do different. But I have a really awesome mom so I shouldn't complain.

I'm at work and I'm reading all these posts about sandwiches and salads.

*takes Cinder's chicken salad and runs*

Gee, thank you. :D

Speaking of sauces (Ohhhhh, what a saucy topic!!!! *Bah dum, dum, tsh*)

*Crickets*

..... *Tumble weed*

As a child, I was adamant I hated barbeque sauce. Under no circumstance am I a fussy eater, I can seriously eat anything and everything and if it's an unusual delicacy from a foreign country, I'm all in.

But if you get barbeque sauce on my food, I'm picking it off.

So I'm 25 years old now, and only the other week, I was at a beach picnic with friends and they had ordered hot chips and offered me some. I felt rather giddy and zoned out at the same time so I decided, 'Heck, I'm going to dip this chip in some barbeque sauce and eat it.'

Upon doing so, tears threatened to spill from my eyes as I wondered what marvellous thing I was eating. I then polished a huge heap of chips and half a bottle of barbeque sauce. Now I eat it with spinach, with sausages, with sweet potato.

You could say, I'm in bit of a saucy romance!

Thank you, thank you, I'll be here 'til 9.

Well, I've not been a fan of barbecue sauce either. That wad until my gym trainer told me to try barbecue sauce with my sub.

Good job, barbecue sauce scientist. Well done!

I think Cajun style BBQ sauce is good. Dont think theres a lot of vinegar though, except from whats in the Tabasco a lot of the recipes requires.

LOL. I can't stand 98% of the barbecue sauces out there. I've tried barbecue, but honestly, try as I might, I just can't like it. I'll eat it on something if I absolutely have to, but it's just not my thing at all. I like the ones that aren't super sweet (sorry, Sweet Baby Ray's. You just really aren't my type). Every kind I've had is just so sweet...yuck.

Now hot sauce...that's completely different. Specifically Frank's red hot pepper sauce and siracha sauce. Siracha popcorn is AMAZINNNGGG. It's kinda my new addiction now. As much as I miss cheddar popcorn, Siracha is easily taking its place. And buffalo chips. OH GOSH. Don't get me started on those. You'll hear about them for all of eternity. They're probably going to be in heaven. Just sayin'. :p

There are so many different brands out there, but the one I have been using is the Heinz brand. Its more salty/sweet than vinegary.

See, this is why I am a little bit envious of Americans. You guys have the best range of sauces, sweets and desserts. Out of that list, the only thing that rings a bell is cheddar popcorn.

Maybe I need to ride my kangaroo to the grocery store and see if I can find any of that stuff.

It's a blessing and a curse. :p I love some of the sauces, sweets, and desserts we have here. Some of those a little TOO much, though. Especially since they use such awful sweeteners for them. And like you'd love to try some things that are popular in America, I'd LOVE to try some of the things that are popular in Australia but don't have here in America as far as I know (Tim Tams. Enough said...I think it's a must that I try these at some point in my life).

One of my favorite desserts is (don't ask me why it's called this) Grasshopper pie (contains NO grasshoppers)! It's a mint and chocolate frozen dessert and it is highly addicting.

Also, I find it really weird that I can handle hot sauce such as red hot pepper sauce and/or siracha. But just last week I found my esophagus trying to kill me over the spices in the taco meat. I'll have to look at the ingredients and see which ones could potentially be giving me issues...

Edit - Just looked it up. It could be the fact it has whey, and maybe my body doesn't like cumin or oregano. My bet would be on the oregano.

Have my Farmer's Market booth all set up, my stock put into the freezer there. I'm just about ready to go. My 4th season!!

I'm somewhere between excited and nervous. I hope I sleep tonight.

I'm the cheesecake booth. :)
I absolutely love cheesecake, although I can only eat about two or three bites because it is really sweet. Can't forget the berries and my absolute favorite strawberries.
