Maybe they call it beauty sleep because we act ugly when we don't get it. At least...that's how I am.

Did anybody see Interstellar? What were your thoughts on it?

It was ok. Not one of those "ooooh, aaaah!" movies, but not boring either.

I think I might be in over my head. Or else I'm underestimating myself. Both are entirely possible, but I can't decide which is more likely for the situation.

So I got this app called MealBoard, to help me get my grocery shopping and meal planning and cooking stuff all a little more organized than scribbling recipes and plans and lists all over random bits of scrap paper. With this app, I can add recipes from online or manually enter any I already have, and then the app imports all the necessary ingredients to a shopping list (which can be easily edited/added to and is categorized by store aisle to save time and blah blah blah). The app also lets me set up a two week meal plan, breakfast, lunch, dinner, side dishes, snacks, dessert...yeah. AND it keeps track of what I already/still have in my fridge/pantry.

IT'S SO INTIMIDATING.

Also! It was a ton of fun for me to browse and import a bunch of recipes I've never tried, but then I filled up the entire next two weeks with brand new recipes, and I just opened the app to see what I have planned for dinner tonight, and...

I have never even eaten spaghetti squash, let alone prepared one and served it to other people.

I can't tell if it's the squash I'm afraid of, or the level of extreme organization going on in my pantry (guys, I don't even technically HAVE a pantry...I have a small cupboard though...it's like a mini-pantry? Who am I kidding, it's a cabinet, and it's childproofed to where I can't even open it half the time).

Breathe, Cristen...breathe. And stop talking to yourself in public. Seriously, pull yourself together.

MissCris - Sadly with regard to trying/cooking new food: it's do or do not... there is no try. What's the worst that can happen? You have it one meal and you hate it and you never have it again. You can do it. You have recipes! :)

As for me? It's my day off. I should be doing things, but I am catching up on the stuff I've DVR'd. And my sleep. And some reading. Maybe I've got my laundry going (as I should), for SURE I'm not doing my house kitchen dishes... yet.

This weekend's market days fall on a holiday in a week when 100*+ temps will be what's happening an hour inland. I hear all the hotels are booked here. It'll be awesome, but I'm baking my tush off... and truly happy about it. But today? I do NOTHING!

I've started posting my photography again. I realized I've been keeping myself secret and hiding myself away for reasons that aren't valid. So every time I'm tempted to step back I need to ask myself if it's for a good reason. I've found most of the time it's not.

Up and moving at 10:something, because lazy.

Cooked and portioned the following:
--5 single serve egg white/turkey sausage quiches (no crust)
--6 servings of Thai chicken thighs and brown rice
--5 servings of spaghetti and meatballs
--5 servings of smoked turkey sausage and spicy beans

Cleaned all science projects out of the fridge (because out-of-town-for-a-week).
Washed all dishes from both cooking and de-fridgeration.
Put in two 45 minute sessions on the music for Saturday night's concert. (Don't know how my face managed that.)
Played one round of LoL.

Still up: more practice, and the gym, and a shower. Doing enough to stay busy, not overloaded enough to feel pressured!

It's been weird today, not doing anything, since since Friday I'd been doing nothing but walking, walking, and more walking.

Today was really weird
but nice at the same time!

We talked about God,
Jesus and that was really awesome
and something at the same time!

See you...

...and then I was all "Aahhhh! Where did all these cows come from?"

It was an ambush.

It's been a weird day and I think it should end now. G'nite, world.

I'm guessing you were either standing in the middle of a field... or dining at an all-you-can-eat burger joint/steakhouse...

If it's the second option, please, let me know where, because I'd like to join you...
