how can you guys eat stuff like that for breakfast. *shudder*

We Norwegians eat bread (maybe cereal) and drink milk / juice :p
I personally don't even get hungry until about 9-10 so I just bring breakfast to work

I eat whatever my stomach feels like it wants for breakfast. Scrambled eggs on toast, tuna sandwich, bowl of oatmeal, chili, cheddar sandwich...

Around here is kinda the same... milk, coffee, juice, bread, cheese, ham, honey, cereal, eggs... lighter things... however if you go to a buffet you can get all sorts of things... hehehehe

I usually go for a cup of milk and a slice of wheat bread with ricotta cheese... or a bowl of cereal with milk...

But I was late today... and so I'm hungry... :(

Your english is broken, syntax is a bit scrambled, but you convey the sense of what you want to say very well. I could understand everything you said. :)

I agree with Lynx, Abruno. However, I was wondering if Brazilians almost always take a siesta, or if it's just something they WANT to do. Also, is a big lunch common as well? :)

Hmm, breakfast. I'm sort of immune to the culture here in Aus not only because I don't watch T.V. but also because I usually eat alone and choose my food based on what I understand of it. Typical breakfast for me is some carb food such as rice or bread or potato, some legume, veggies, salt and other spices. On occasion I'll eat animal protein with this - but usually regret it as it tends to wear me down. On a rare occasion I'll eat fruit with starches, but it's rare because fruit doesn't last long and I prefer savory to sweet.

Some Aussie chic I know once asked me why I don't eat cereal "like normal people". I haven't bought a box of cereal in years...

In Brazil, the ideal (which means whenever you have the time for it... so, mostly weekends...) is a regular breakfast, a big lunch and a regular dinner... dinner actually changes a lot from household to household... some people eat kinda like breakfast, and some kinda like lunch...

And siesta is ALWAYS nice, but we hardly have the time for it... retired people can do it everyday... my parents do it pretty much everyday, unless they have some appointment and such... :)
