I work every day until Thursday...then I do get a 3 day weekend.
Ah yes, you work with some people you need to take care of. So you're not working like in a factory, you're on duty for a 70 hour shift. That makes a lot more sense.

After I finish a series, I always wonder if I'll ever find something good to watch again lol. I accidentally found a new show to watch when I was going through channels the other night. I had never heard of it, but now I have three seasons to catch up on.

melita, I was expecting you to be bored to tears, and thus to be spending a lot of time posting on the forum. What happened, did they let you bring a netflix-linked tablet and earbuds to work?

Actually I was kind of looking forward to what a bored melita would post...

Only 6 more hours and I get to go sleep in my own bed. I'm gonna sleep, and sleep, and sleep.

I always do that. I was watching The Crown on Netflix and finished season 1. After I'm done I always think, what show can Inwatch that will mildly annoy my Husband? I hate to be mean and I do love him, but he doesn't seem to enjoy any of the same shows I do.

I like Arrested Development, he can't stand it. Sometimes I'll watch Friends, he's mildly annoyed. I could go on and on, I find it kind of humorous that the man who loves the show COPS, finds my taste in TV annoying.

It's seriously kind of like a game to me now and he knows it because when a season ends and he says, oh darn. I say, well now let me scan through here and see what I think you'll hate. I'm now watching Louie. I failed though because he likes it.

I know this sounds evil and horrible but it's really not. We do get a long well. After many years together we get each other's dry humor.

I can't wait to get to Heaven. I won't have to mow. I won't have to spray weed killer around the border of stuff in the yard. I won't have to run a weed-eater.

*Lynx wanders off to fill up the sprayer and start spraying around yard stuff.

A guy at work said that twice while I was scrubbing the oven. The second time I flung water at him.

So since I have a sprayer full of weed killer... guess what YOU get! :D

I thought you were gonna complain AFTER you sprayed the weeds. ;)

I came home to a leaking pipe in my house yesterday, so I spend the afternoon and evening dealing with that. Today I bought the correct part and installed it. My water is restored and not leaking, and I learned one more thing not to do....

If you're friends with me on FB you'll have already seen this story possibly but I'm posting it here as well for those who want to feel better about themselves that they are not as awkward as me. ;)

It was a beautiful day yesterday so I decided to hike at my normal place. At the first creek crossing, the logs I usually cross on were gone. There were three attractive young men hanging out on the beach. The beach was about 1.5 miles into the hike so I was surprised they walked that far just to be hanging out by the water (as there's a closer creek earlier in the trail) but whatever. Of course, this means I would embarrass myself somehow.

I had brought an extra pair of shoes (as I always do for cases like this) and changed into them to wade across. I carried my boots in one hand, my backpack and my dog's pack in the other hand. Halfway across, I attempted to throw my boots onto the shore to free up a hand for balance. The boots landed in the water and started floating downstream, so I had to chase after them but I had to scoot because there were places of slick rock (that grimy stuff on them). At least the guys got a comedy show. One of the guys had looked at me like he maybe thought I was cute, so I was gonna be all cool crossing the creek like "Yeah no big deal I do this every day yo" but then I had to turn into a flailing trout.

I still had the rest of my hike to do, too, and now both pairs of shoes were wet, so I did the last 4 miles in wet shoes.

Just adding that to "How I've majorly embarrassed myself in front of men" list... it is apparently ever-growing. :D

No no.. Sorry. This falls into the 'she don't know she's beautiful' category. There's some actresses out there and they might act all embarrassed and shy and blah blah but ...no. You're in a different library on this one. Sorry. You were cute. You're just going to have to own up to this one.

Nothing in that precludes complaining BEFORE spraying them. I'm versatile. I can complain about it before AND after.

And for the record, four gallons of weed killer is heavy to lug around the yard spraying everything. It was made to ride on your back but the straps are messed up, so I had to carry it around like a heavy briefcase.

hahaha...I suppose nothing you said precluded the before complaining.

But...it will build your muscles...? :)

I'm finally home after my long work shift and my sleep app just told me it was time for bed. Lol hmmm

I like COPS too tbh haha. But yeah, finding a show everyone likes can be a struggle. At least you guys have fun with it. :p
