So, I’m going back to school. I am about to gather my transcripts so I can go talk to an advisor to figure out how much I have left to finish my music education/ vocal pedagogy degree. I feel nervous excited. I’m praying I can get enough grant/ scholarship money to pay for it all.

Typing this out...it feels more real and I suddenly got more excited. :) :) :)

If you had a chance to live in another country, and stay there for many years, where would you go and how would you create a new foundation of life? Build a career? Spread the word? Help the needy? So many ways and paths out there!

Here is my answer

I'm currently planning to go to Indonesia.
I would like to learn bahasa while I'm there, exploring the culture and the people. One day I hope to being some of my family to visit as well, as I cook for them traditional foods and act as their tour guide. I want to be active in the churches there and bring the community closer to the aspects of Friends, Family, and Faith. I want my excess income and riches to go to the poor, not to feed them just for a day but to teach them how to keep eating on their own. And finally, and most importantly I want to see my true love for the first time in person, to live life to the fullest and learn more about being humbled and taking care of others.

As you write your dreams and aspirations, place your hopes and trust into God and you will be upon his path

My answer is that wherever I go I know God shall establish his foundation it matters not where I reside whether permanently or temporarily God is with me,so if I but had such an opportunity I would go and strive to spread his word if the place be where family or someone I care for resides I would seek to ask how their walk with Christ is or if they know Christ.
Of a truth I have not left my home state by air or by plane only by car,so it would be something different but I know through God's wisdom and grace that he would lead me to do right.

You have a good mindset sir! We have to be the light for where ever the needy are :) You never traveled though!!!! You have to ! It is a wonderful experience seeing other places, cultures, and people! I miss it so much! Ive been out of state many times (Georgia usa) and evwry instance was nerve racking. I've been to Germany, Ireland, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Canada, and even though it's a state, Alaska (it's an entirely different place than the lower 48). The next time you can have a vacation, you can fly into Alaska for less than 200usd! :D

Those are good southern spots! I've been to fort sill in Kentucky, beautiful place! But I do remember alot of skunks and houses clinging to the side of the mountains. Tennessee I remember the foothills and friendly people! Beaches in Georgia suck so don't go there. The best beaches near you would be in Florida or south Carolina. The WORST beaches are in Alaska Xd they have mud for beaches.

Here are some things to consider in your grand venture:

How long are you planning to stay?
What will you do to earn the money you need for a long term stay? What visa requirements or other legal hoops might you need to navigate in order to be able to do that?
How well do you want \ need to speak the language to do what you want to do?
How will you connect with the local churches? What sort of roles will they allow you to have?
What will you do when your ideas of friends, family, and faith are challenged and possibly rejected by the people you want to share with?
How do you determine what income is excess income?
What is your picture of living life to the fullest?
What if learning about being humbled means that you mostly will have to rely on others to take care of you and feel like you have little or nothing useful to give back to them in return?

I did the visiting and living overseas thing for a while and what I really learned was that enthusiasm was no substitute for the practical nuts and bolts and hard work and even when you thought you were prepared, people would still say or do things that completely threw you. And such basic ideas as what it means to help someone or how friends should interact and how much time they spend together or who is part of your family and family responsibilities vary greatly between cultures. Not trying to completely dampen your enthusiasm, but so far what you're saying is big on vision and not so big on practical nuts and bolts (some of which you may have to figure out as you go anyway) so just trying to help you bring your vision into line with some of the realities you'll face and decisions you'll need to make.

Well I'm glad to say that my heart doesn't feel frozen anymore but it's pretty cold here in Tennessee and my family's house is cold especially in my room, due to cracks in the foundation or my window.
