Sliders - Season 5. What is this? Why must you insist on replacing your original characters (save Rembrandt)? I've never seen a series hate its characters as much as this one. Two episodes to go and then I'm done. Phew! I can't wait!

This Downton Abbey craze might be the death of me yet. lol The guy I commute to work with is out of his mind over this show. He has been doing nothing short of giggling like a school girl at the expectation of the start of (season 4?) tomorrow night.

He has even warned me that "We may leave work early Sunday"...now I think the show doesn't start untill like 9-ish?
*takes off shoes & socks...does math equation...hmmm...we get out @ 7 pm,drive home takes about an hour if traffic is good,so home by like 8 pm...gives him an hour to change into his PJ's & make some yummy food before program starts*

Yeah, just not seeing where we'd need to leave early. lol I mean how much prep time does a guy need to watch his fav show? Is there so added pressure about this show that is making him all anxiety ridden over the thought of possibly not having the right snacks on hand upon viewing?

I'll have to ask him. Then again...I'm sure I won't have to ask him a peep. I have this odd feeling that when he pulls up to morrow, the first words out of his mouth when I get into the car after I say hello are going to be :"Tonight is the premiere of the new season of Downton Abbey!" and I'll be all like..."Yes,Mike..you've been telling me this now for like 2 weeks bro."

This show doesn't sound like anything I would ever be into...but then again stranger things have happened.
I never thought I'd like the Fast and the Furious films...and Oh.My.Glob.!!!! There are so totally ridiculous, but they are insanely epic all at the same time. So ummm..yeah..let him have his Abbey,'cause in 20 yrs I'll be sitting there watching the collected gift box set on Blu-Ray or something too I bet. *sigh*

life is weird.

Now there was a show.

But... they replace characters... That sucks.

For science fiction, I'm currently chewing through the X files. On Season 3 right now.

I also just finished with My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic. That show is like crack. I fought it off pretty valiantly, but in the end, I caved to the many wonderful song and dance routines scattered throughout the series. I usually don't even like song and dance routines, but these are really well done considering they all happen in 20 minute cartoons.

OK THAT'S IT! I need to sit down & find out about this My Little Pony stuff. I am just gonna have to sit & watch some episodes of this on YouTube or something. I mean ok..I like cartoons. I love Manga & Anime..and stuff like Toy Story...Adventure Time...you name it. If it's got some sort of twisted story or humor, then that's just a bonus. But I need to find out first hand what this Pony stuff is all about. I know the jokes,I see the memes,I hear character names & episode plot lines tossed around and various quotes from characters and I am tired of being out of the loop on this.
(I think I want in!) and if I do get in...will there be a way out?

..again I think the cold has seriously effected my brain.

Sliders - Seasons 1 and 2 were mostly great. The series never received much of a budget but it made up for that with inventive stories and fun characters with strong chemistry. The rest of the series has some choice episodes but they're difficult to find. The cast made the show. When you replace the cast, you kill the series.

I'm bored. i used to be fun, very social, party or atleast get together with friends more often. Before I took my faith serious, before I stopped drinking as much, before I stopped smoking weed. Before that one seizure that terrified me. I was quite happy back then. It just seems like Christians are so concerned about right and wrong, being strict that it makes them dull. Ever so often, I get this spurt of impulsiveness, to do something fun and random. Push the limits. It feels healthy to do that. I never have anyone in my life to do it with though.

persNickety, you want something fun and random??? You're about to get it!!!

Here is what you and I will do: we'll meet up in Manitoba and when we see each other we will give each other a "jump-in-the-air high-five" and when we come down we will land on two husky-powered dog sleds that will take us up to the Northwest Territories where we will hunt polar bears with nothing but sling-shots (of course we won't be able to actually kill any polar bears with sling-shots, so we will just irritate them with rocks and pebbles to no end).

And as we are running for our lives away from the irritated polar bears, we will throw molotov cocktails at igloos as we run through Eskimo villages. But we will only throw them on top of the igloos, that way we will give the Eskimos some much-needed sun-roofs (free of charge!!!).

Then we'll end the day by riding our dog sleds all the way up to most northern tip of Canada, and as you are enjoying the majestic view of the Aurora Borealis, I'll be looking into my compact mirror and fixing my hair (I'm sorry, but my hair must look perfect at all times, even after a dog-sled run!!!).

Now if all that doesn't spell random, spontaneous, push-the-limits fun, then I don't know what does!!!

P.S. If none of that works, then we'll smoke some weed - lol.

My best friend came out to see me today, and she brought me this flower (ignore all the junk...unless you're playing like, I Spy or something, then by all means, carry on).

I Spy with my little eyes... a keyboard/piano! For kids 3 and under. :p hahaha

Those flowers are suuuuuuper pretty. :D I would get those kinds of flowers. But I'd kill 'em.

Your Stream of Consciousness kinda started off in the possessive tense and ended up in the attributive. Pretty impressive! I and them. It's always I and them it seems.

There's a certain freedom I enjoy with our faith that transcends strictness. There are a lot of well meaning folks that want to tailor you to fit their Christian mold; make you into a statue with a raised arm holding their beacon of faith; when you're really someone quite different. Your impulsiveness to do something fun or random is refreshing. It's not so much a drink you want as to cut through tough skin and let out pent up passion which in you is anything but dull.

Kentthomas27 basically said the same thing I said (he just worded it more theologically than I did - lol).

The retirement thread has got me thinking of life at 60 or 70. What things will be like. How technology would change. What medical advances there will be. Look back at these days as the 'good ole times'?

Uova all' inferno (Eggs in Hell). It was delicious! I will be making this again. C'mon over for breakfast sometime - - it's gluten free! :D
Recipe please. Here, not in the recipes forum. I mean, you CAN post it in the recipes forum, too...but we both know that I'm not going to go look there.

See? Proves that the bronies are NOT crazy. Now, this doesn't necessarily make you a brony (you don't have to be if you don't want to be), but I'm glad you were open-minded enough to give it a try, and I'm glad you enjoyed it. It really is just light-hearted fun, and it really isn't a gender thing. Just good writing.

OK THAT'S IT! I need to sit down & find out about this My Little Pony stuff.

(I think I want in!) and if I do get in...will there be a way out?
Ha HA!!! (The fun has been doubled!) The irony of this all is that I am not what some call a brony crusader or a brony evangelist. Check it out on Netflix, my man. Tell yourself that you'll only watch two or three episodes to see what it's about. Then look up from your TV or computer fours later and say, "Oh no."

That's what happened to me.

Probably what happened to ServantStrike. ^_^

There has been another Alaskan lurking around these parts this week.

I checked out his profile..and I know him. Personally.

I should just start inviting all my friends to come join the party here. Together...we could take over the world.
