My dog is acting up terribly. He's ALWAYS whining. Wanting wanting wanting. We'll do everything. And he'll STILL whine. I know he's old and all. But really?

Have you checked if he has some kind of arthritis or other nasty stuff?

It kind of drives me insane when someone wants to help, or thinks they're being helpful, when they have no idea what the problem is and don't bother to find out in order to know how to help. I want to feel like it shouldn't matter so long as that person's heart is in the right place...
but how "right" can their heart be if they don't care enough to find out what the problem is?

How is it you have this kind of wisdom? I dunno...you come up with these thing's sometimes. Maybe it's just me..but I find your thinking quite inspiring my lovely friend. Again...when is the book due to be published?:p

WWJD - He might, but even if he does, we give him coated low-dose aspirin which should make him feel better. We give him fish oil, too. He also gets an allergy pill because he has some allergies, too.

Abbiejean says: We got blasted with snow storms and frigid temperatures here and in shoveling out so the feral kitties have food and can get to the insulated shelter, I wondered, "Wonder would it would be like to hear a knock at the door and open it to find a bouquet of yellow roses."

Never had a bouquet of flowers delivered to me. Ever. :( Sad.

The Shepherd's Boy and the Wolf
-- Aesop's Fables

A Shepherd-boy, who watched a flock of sheep near a village, brought out the villagers three or four times by crying out, "Wolf! Wolf!" and when his neighbors came to help him, laughed at them for their pains. The Wolf, however, did truly come at last. The Shepherd-boy, now really alarmed, shouted in an agony of terror: "Pray, do come and help me; the Wolf is killing the sheep"; but no one paid any heed to his cries, nor rendered any assistance. The Wolf, having no cause of fear, at his leisure lacerated or destroyed the whole flock.

Not for another 13 years, mind you :)! Wait, that was for dating; you need an extra few years for falling in love, Lil... wait, you don't have to date for that... well, another decade plus, anyway :).

And he even knew that the yellow roses are the ones signifying friendship :)! If it helps any, I've never been sent flowers in a romantic way, AbbieJean (or non-romantic ones either, that I can recall), but I don't think I mind, so it's probably not any consolation. It does sound like you had a REALLY sweet husband, though; you've listed a few great memories back from when he was living :').

I said KenThomas did the yellows roses cuz he knew they were for friendship, but I re-read the post and AbbieJean had mentioned yellow. Oops... Now for a funny gif to take attention away from my boo boo...

KenThomas - Thank you. :) Yellow is my favorite of all colors. Always has been. Your post brought a smile and looking out the window, the yellow roses match the warmth of the bright sunshine outside. Am dug out from the snowstorm.

Fenner - I like chocolate too. :) Heard tell that fruit bouquets can be delivered. Didn't know there was such a thing. Food being delivered is good too. I am not much of a cook, I can cook and do cook and my crockpot and I are best buds, but with it being just Gracie (and she gets kitty crunchies and moist treats out of a can) I do very little cooking/baking.

Jilly81 - it's all good. :)

Good News: January is almost over. One winter month down 1 to 2 month(s) to go. THEN THEN, it will begin to warm up and we can kick this vortex in the butt and enjoy summer weather & thunderstorms

Or, one can be like me, and with a tender heart, reach out and think later...oooops, maybe I shouldn't done that. Maybe the person doesn't see it the way I did/do. Perhaps I was best to have traveled on and just prayed.
