When I said in the time travel thread I'd tell people not to go to war, I was told by someone that that would be the worst thing one could tell a civilization.

I wonder why people are so eager to destroy each other.... We didnt even get past the first family in history before there was a murder.... and I wonder why God puts up with us.
Because he truly does love us and has Mercy for us to respond to, as Stephan responded to God's Mercy and was killed in Acts, he did not fight back as Christ did not either.
Keep standing tall Sister in trust to Father through Son

when i lived in vegas, my home church had an amazing ministry/program for all performers of that ilk. those women changed my life forever--as one often said, little girls don't say "i want to be a stripper when i grow up".

i really wish there were more churches offering ministries to help these women.
To help is key, over condemn.
I read a book what is so amazing about grace, and is a real eye opener to our churches today when it comes to helping a hooker, a stripper or any sinner.
In the book there was this hooker that was asked to go to Church to get help, and her reply was WHAT< you want me to go to Church and feel worse about what I am doing, I already feel bad and do not know what to do. Go and feel worse no thanks
Author Phillip Yancey a good read if anyone interested

It's kind of weird to me how things are happening...
Tomorrow, I sign the lease for my apartment.
I don't feel like I've been actually doing anything to get to this point.
Maybe I'm on autopilot? Maybe I'm tougher than I thought?
Either way, I can see how God is taking care of me and my kids, and I'm grateful.

Thanks homwardbound. :)

Be wise as a serpent though there are wolves hiding in sheep's clothing are there not? Dore not God warn of this, and to be harmless though, yet aware so we do not get caught up in the traps of this world's carnality?

I'm going to talk about boots for a minute here. Women absolutely own all things boots. They can wear practically anything - no matter how crazy and still look great. They can wear cowboy boots with a dress; they can wear them with long pants and tuck their pant legs in or not and everything still looks good.

Men can not.....

We look ridiculous when we try anything new...

Women can do this and this...

ALL the livelong day while men look stupid....

Ok that was Bruce Jenner, nothing to do with boots, but I've had that photo for a while waiting to use it - nothing's come up - so...

My point is this. Men don't have options even when it counts. I happen to really like this pair of boots. They're beautiful and....

they're women's boots.

Flashy men's boots look like this....

Stupid. Do you see where I'm going with this? It's prejudice.

hahaha I think you are absolutely right and I have to admit I am happy about that fact because this gal loves her boots!!

I have weird eating times, too. I think I'm still on a European meal schedule. I finally feel ready for breakfast around 2, then I want lunch around American dinner time, and I grab a snack around midnight. I know, that's totally unhealthy.
you and me both. i usually make something for breakfast and have my juice. unfortunately, i pack it with me around until i finally eat it. for some reason, i always miss the dinner hour and am famished by 9ish.

actually i've always been like that. : )

so true.

maybe it's because i came of age during the grunge era, but i think guys look good in boots too. not those flowery and frilly ones, but just plain old broken-in boots. there's something alluring about worn-in boots (perhaps like jeans).

they refer to a life that has been lived in them. miles of life experience. hard work. a life with fullness.

mmmmmmmmm. boots. : )

Yes!!

I think the manliest style is worn by the character Dean in Supernatural.

Of course, Starbucks coffee doesn't hurt either.

yes, lovely. the buzzished hair doesn't hurt either.

a good pair of boots have some battle scars, and maybe even a story or two.

my favorite riding boots have chomp marks from my horse max on the top of them. maybe that's why they're my favorite.

Got snow yesterday, first of the year , about 6 inches, but, left within 24 hours pretty much. Nothing on the ground now, my dog loves the stuff. she likes to catch snowballs I throw at her. I think, she pretends they are like flying squirrels, or something. she flashes her sharp teeth at the snowballs coming at her, scrunching up her nose as she catches them. kinda odd but, I guess, that's just how she does things. she is like a kid in the candy store when the snow comes , I can see her tracking small animal footprints too as she is a very good bloodhound impression. She probably does that more than I realize but I didn't really notice it until now when I can see her zig-zagging all over following a maze of tiny paw prints like a rabbit or something :)
Weel, got to go do some heavy lifting, so to speak, work stuff, anyway. Right, johannpraus :D

snow helps to slow the dissipation of animal scent.

my uncle ran an outfitter/guide school in MT and used the winter to train dogs for that very reason. : )
