Not so easily forgotten
Is a time of way back when
What is now...
...and what was then
Dulling eyes...
...and a heart fatigued
No more highs...
...a lot less intrigued
But not so easily...
...are memories forgotten
But so bitterly...
...sweet, sour and rotten
A coppery taste...
...teases my tongue
My heart defaced...
...buried in dung

I'm coming to grips with the facts that a) I'm messed up in more ways than I will ever realize and b) I won't have all the answers in this life.

And such things point to a desperate need of a Savior and a Holy Spirit to renew me while I am in this life.
If the issue was from without side the self, it would not be so hard to contain, but the issue is the self as you are seeing, and is why Christ came to die for you, for you to die to self with him in the death that he did for you. Then you can see the new life in the resurrection of Christ, you by God being born again here and now, by Faith in the Finished work of God through the Son Jesus Christ, death for you, and resurrection for you

The air is cooler today from the storm lastnight, a nice fresh cool breeze is coming through my window, I just discovered a recent album by Loreena McKennitt that I have yet to hear. I am relaxing feeling the cool breeze, listening to her album and drinking my favorite Valerian root tea and can almost smell autumn in the air. *Pleased* :)

This is bad. It's not even August and I am craving a pumpkin spice latte, stepping on crunchy leaves and wearing cardigans and peacoats :/

Dear Lord, I pray tomorrow goes better than today, that I see it that way, that I stay strong in you and that I work hard doing what you want me to do, staying sharp and awake with your strength, not mine, of which I stand, amen.

Good night, all, blessings, to your nighty-nights :) And, of course, sweet dreams of God's plans for you given I pray for your slumber, too :)

And so the saga continues...

All I am able to do is continue to do God's will. If I am to say that I will just leave it in God's hands... then I have given up. I then pass off my responsibility of being obedient to Him and set up my own failure as means by which to blame God. I can say "Well, it must not have been God's will." However, if it was God's will and I did not perform His will in obedience to Him, then the failure is upon my head and the blood of any that have perished is upon my hands.
Ezekiel 33
So... even though the world does not understand my actions and my ways, I will continue to walk in obedience to the Lord in this matter. I have no expectation that I will receive personal gain (this the world despises) but that God's will shall be done in this matter.

Does anyone else go on journeys through YouTube and suddenly realize that an hour or two as passed? I started with watching Whose Line is it anyways? and finished with watching a documentary on Jefferson Airplane.

can any of my self will, even wanting to please God really please God?
What has God called us to be of Flesh or Spirit?
And what is the only way God can be worshipped? Spirit or flesh?
What did Christ come to give us through the cross? By the resurrection?

I hate waiting. Like...hate it. I feel like nothing is accomplished while waiting. But waiting is an important thing in life and in your relationship with God. I wish I wasn't so accustomed to everything being so fast-paced and happening within such-and-such a time.

Anxiously awaiting the day when I check the noon-time outdoor temperature and it is less than 100 degrees.
I'm with Arwen on this: bring on the fall weather! I miss my hoodies and sweaters and boots.

It depends. It is written that it is better to not want to serve the Lord, but then to do it than to say that you want to and will and then not. So if the want is there but the action is not, this does not please God.

What has God called us to be of Flesh or Spirit?
He created us in both. The flesh is weak, but the spirit is ready.

And what is the only way God can be worshipped? Spirit or flesh?
Both. We worship Him in spirit and it is therefore manifested in the flesh by making our bodies a holy and acceptable sacrifice to Him.

What did Christ come to give us through the cross? By the resurrection?
Life and an abundance of it. In this we have been given power and authority over sin and death and freedom to walk in the righteousness that is by faith through our Lord Jesus Christ.

I belong to an Epilepsy group on Facebook. A lady posted the following:

A priest recently told me if I dont start going to church, my seizures will get worse, a missionary told me also because I wasn't christened nor baptised, God doesnt recognise me so the devil can work through me... I am quite offended and they almost made me feel ashamed which I never ever have felt about my epilepsy.

When I began to read some of the replies, I noticed a flooding of replies, almost all were Christians outpouring love and correction to what the missionary and priest said. My heart kind of fluttered in my chest to see how many of us seek God. When everything is out of our control. I got a bit teary eyed.

Awesome answers, Thanks, so in seeing this truth we are at war then between flesh and Spirit, being in unredeemed flesh yes?
So if Christ won the war, why are we at war if we consider daily for our flesh to be dead
Galatians 5:16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
[h=3]Romans 6:11[/h]New International Version (NIV)

[SUP]11 [/SUP]In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

Now dead to sin would be the same as dead to flesh right since all sin is condemned to the flesh

Romans 8:3
For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh,

more and more people are becoming aware of God's unconditional love to all and are responding in Love to all, not tyranny
For God is not a tyrant nor ever has been. Mercy is what we have been given, and when one sees that then Mercy is given back without any expectations, a response to the one and only true God, revealed to us all through the Son Jesus Christ

The more time I spend working in the garden, the more time I want to spend working in the garden. My back hurts, my hands hurt, and my shoulders are sun burned and I've got about a bazillion mosquito bites.

And it feels kinda good.

Caring for living things...plants, horrible awful cats, and kids...I dunno, it's almost like I'm actually doing something with my life.
