Indeed! :DThough I have not had the honor of speaking directly to Mr. Vischer, I do own his book "Me, Myself, and Bob"!
Is it a good read? I've been wanting to read that book for awhile now, but it's difficult to find here in Australia.

No, no, no. I think the more creepier you are, the more chances of getting a significant other increases.

So, my secret member crush isn't on this website.. She's actually someone from singer's ministry, and I've realised I've been fighting this crush I do have, and not really sure what I'm supposed to do.

I want to share with you all something real important. Walk by faith and not by sight. Especially when you see something hurtful that doesn't align to one of the promises of God.

I mentioned this five days ago. I kinda didn't want to post a whole new thread. But basically, this girl that I've been talking to invited me to her place for New Year's Eve. Her family is having a party so nothing of that nature. But the thing is I was praying during my lunch hour and asked Him to reveal a sign to me. Later this evening, she texts me. We get to talking and in the middle of the conversation she asks if I wanted to go to her house for New Year's.. I don't really know what to make of this, as I pretty much thought I would stay single. Also in the process of trying to remove everything out of inside me I'm dealing with through Celebrate Recovery. Friend or more than just friends, I really don't want to screw this up with her. So any insight within the next two days would be appreciated.

I have no insight for you, sorry. But I'll be praying for you. Go and enjoy yourself. See what happens. :)

Don't overthink it. It sounds like you're overthinking, maybe even stressing yourself out some. I would go so far as to say don't over spiritualize it, too. I was with a girl I thought was presented to me by God, but with the way that whole affair played out, I really don't think so anymore. Lol...

Anyway, don't drive yourself nuts trying to figure it out. Play it by ear. ;)

Don't overcomplicate it. You are only beginning to talk to her. At this point, just go in with no inhibitions. What's the best thing that could come out of it? You would have met a wonderful girl to share your memories with. What's the worst? You would have at least had something to do in NYE. See how this goes and then react based on it.

Or, as Siberian_Khudzu rightly said, play it by ear.

I think it is too soon for him to start playing with her ears. Maybe he should wait until he is sure she likes him?

That's just my opinion...

God gave humanity an incredibly amount of autonomy, so I would say, even if both parties are interested, sometimes one party no longer feels it (or they get scared and run).

Thanks guys. I appreciate that. Yeah it just kinda caught me by surprise, especially since how I kinda asked God for a step in the right direction. Not to become over religious or anything. Just hasn't really had that happen before. I'm not rushing into anything nor do I want to.

That does happen, yes. I won't expound on my experience, but I will say it wasn't like that. Let's just say that sometimes people learn that their needs conflict after a time.

The advice I have; lasting relationships are a marathon not a sprint. Don't be in a rush to nail things down especially if you've got lots of other stuff to deal with (sounds like you've got that part figured out already). So go to the party, have a great time, and pay more attention to what kind of person she is and what family dynamics she is used to than spending time trying to analyze whether this is a sign from God or not. Signs are overrated, using wisdom is underrated.

No worries, brother. Sorry for intruding.
