If you wait a month (or so), you'll be able to see it at one of the many dollar theaters where tickets range from $1 to $3. :)

'cause the movies are so dang expensive and if I'm gonna see it, so is my dad and my two sisters and maybe, just maybe, even my mom. and we don't have room for extra stuff like that at this point in life

I loooooooved the animated version, was very scary though, **spoiLer**, maybe, this one might be different than animation, those goblins ready to eat up. Poor ole, tied-up dwarves and hobbit, bilbo baggins.
, reminds me a lot of good ole Charlie Brown .
I still love 'The Greatest Adventure,' and, I promise, my preciouses, I won't give nothing else away about Smaug and how that prideful bad guy boasted so mightily of himself and :I

Mums the word , I tell ya, mummmm, :D

Remember, too, this is mere film, stay strong to His side, fully ARMORED, He is your link to earthly adventure, and, your grace-filled way to faith-filled eternal adventure, too, which will be so great, Christ peeps, beyond mere storied imaginatiins of ours could truly hope to conjure. :)

I thought hobbits were a type of wild game... You know, an exotic entree... baked, battered, or fried.

Oops, sorry, wrong movie. Am thinking of the Skeksis dining on "roast Gelfling" in The Dark Crystal.

Too many sci-fi themes going through my head. :)

Seoulsearching, IF you were a goblin (from The Hobbit), then that IS exactly a true statement, hmm, maybe, I 'dwarfed' that truth a little, **spoiler!**, I think, in animated version, bilbo saves the dwarfians :D

Thats okay, the Hobbit is technically the first one in the story, so you can go see that and you will be right at the beginning
good point you have their mate i shall have to do that, but will the hobbit be a good movie that will make me want to watch the others if i start at the beginning?

I like the way hobbits live and would love to live that way in my old age but I don't actually like the hobbits themselves. Now those rangers are cool :).

I would start at LOTR's then proceed to the Hobbit, because The Hobbit is suppose to be a trilogy~ the third one is out in 2014. So there will be a large gap between watching the first hobbit movie the proceeding to LOTR. Also, watching LOTR first will make you appreciate The Hobbit more, because it is the back-story of what you had seen in LOTR.

Yeah, the Hobbit shows you how big a boss Gandalf is.

As a side note, I wish people called me Mithrandir.

Well at least the elves do. They told me "Steve the Grey" didn't work quite as well as my predecessor's name. After offering to fight the Balrog, they said "Steve the White" wouldn't work well either.

Elves...This is why I hang with cylons instead.

Sounds like you lead an interesting life, ritt, to say the least :)

Absolutely. I remember reading the Hobbit as a kid and it got me to read the rest. Though Arwen had a great point with the three LOTR movies out already you could start with those

And, I always thought you were a Klingon, ritt :D

Personally, I think, IF you have not watched the LOTR yet, I would watch the Hobbit first because this is where the greatest adventure begins :)

When you listen to this song, think of what you are: 'clay,' in His hands :) 'The chances, the changes are all yours to make, the mold of your life...

For fun, if anyone is curious of what their elvish name is: here's a name translator to elvish that is apparently the most accurate one out there:

Council of Elrond » Elvish Names

:D

On the contary: YOU are crazy if you enjoy sissy midgets ruining perfectly good storylines and epic battles. Lucky for you there are millions like you, so it's socially acceptable. It's called mass hysteria.
