For me I'd like to visit Prince Edward Island and see the Anne of Green Gables house. That and definitely visit Israel as well. I'd love to see some of the places Jesus walked. :)

There are a couple I particularly loved as a kid:

Castle on the Rhine, Heidelberg, Germany. The stairways are so small. Everything in it will remind you how much larger people are now.
Honey the stairways are small because it would require fewer men with pointy sticks to defend them, and in the 14th century building stuff that big was reall really hard. People in Europe are amaller now than they used to be.

As for travel I'd like to go back and see Japan as an adult. Actually I'd like to travel everywhere again, as I was always working last time. Going through the USA would be high on the list. A month on the steppes of Mongolia with the horse tribes. Going tosome random hidden temple in the jungle. Stuff like that :)

The defense thing does make sense, saul, but the clothing they kept there was very small too, as are many of the items of clothnig we have in our museums in the states, compared with our sizes now. Even the clothng scales have been adjusted accordingly.

Vintage Size vs. Modern Size

preachersaul, I didn't get to visit any castles in the UK when we were there. What are they like? We've seen Windsor, of course :)

Having lived at "the gateway to the parks" I have been to Zion National Park almost every weekend(owning property on the other side of the park makes it so I have to drive through the park to get to it.) of my life. I could drive those switchbacks with my eyes closed, it brings a sense of peace to my soul while driving through. Bryce Canyon is also gorgeous. But the Grand Canyon(2 hours from me) is absolutely amazing. I have to admit I live in Gods country, He was just bragging when he made S. Utah. There are very few places where you can see red cliffs, purple mountains, black hills, green forests and miles of red sand all within an hours drive. And having a few man made lakes and a ton of golf courses and its now becoming a very athletic community, plus a place for snowbirds in the winter. If I hadn't grown up here, I probably would have moved here later.

Anyways, I've already been on my dream trip, the northwest coast. It's absolutely beautiful up there(I love the ocean), but I still wouldn't trade it for my red sand. :)
The sad thing is that years ago I would drive through Utah at least twice a year going from Southern CA to Grand Junction and I never bothered making the side trip. The year I lived in Grand Junction I made it over to Moab, but that trip was work related so I didn't have the time to look around.

Praying for you Jullianna!!

But my dream vacation would honestly be...well...I dunno about vacation...but I do wanna tour the world, doing music ministry and spreading the Gospel and ministering to people who know Jesus but are struggling. :) That'd be enough for me :)

dunvegan castle - Google Search

Live near this one, the others on the related searches are all fairly nearby. These are Scottish though. If you want a good wee history lesson type the word brochs into wiki.

dunvegan castle - Google Search

This one is a proper medieval fort in Robin Hood country. The Tower of London a good one to search, so is Edinburgh castle.

Anne of green gables :O

Expect yourself married, quite quickly, by Sunday. Make it 24 hours sooner, if you add Mall of America to your answer :D

I have wanderlust :) Unfortunately since I graduated college I haven't had as much time where I could take off from work to travel, but hopefully I can take an actual vacation next year.

My dream vacation -- backpacking through Europe and then touring through Africa!! with one of my sisters or a really close friend. Trying local foods, visiting open air markets, watching live music/dance performances, meeting strangers, dancing until dawn.

Countries I'd particularly like to visit/revisit

Europe: France, Spain, Portugal, Croatia, Poland, Austria, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland.
Africa : Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, Madagascar, and South Africa.

I'd like to take a permanent vacation to a temperate climate and seclusive location, live off of the land and "rough it" for the rest of my life. I feel closest to God when I am out in the elements surrounded by His creation.
