I learned...

...that getting sick really sucks.

...that sleep is very therapeutic.

...that my cats lack compassion and could care less how I feel. They still demanded that I feed them even though I could barely move.

Being sick is awful. Even more so when there's no one around to care for you. :( Glad you're doing better!

^^^ Am thinking we all need to show up on CatHerder's door as a Personal Care Group...

(Just don't ask me to be the group cook... Unless you all want to snack on a sweet potato with a root growing out of the end...)

That I may need to stop interacting with Sadie when I see her, to be indifferent to help me move on, and not to confuse her. It breaks my heart and brings me to tears just thinking about it.

that i need to work on some things that are really getting in my way. they have mostly to do with self shaming, guilt, being too critical and ocd tendencies.

i also need to work on structuring my days so that i can be more productive, self motivation and self discipline.

oh and just love.
loving and trusting myself and loving and trusting God
that i am okay and that everything is going to be okay.

that i need to spend less time on cc.

also possibly posting the serenity prayer up in my room :

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things i cannot change;
courage to change the things i can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

i like this one too :

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.

and this :

Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will direct your paths.

I've learned at work that even if you're nice and treat people with respect, people won't necessarily respond back the same way. Some people are just jerks, and there's nothing I can do about it.

That God has everything in His hands and because of that I can be free of worry and it also helps ease the hurt.

That even though boiling vinegar is a good way to clean the scale build up from the bottom of the hot water pot, inhaling vinegar steam is mildly painful and will send you into a coughing fit.

That even when I have plan B all ready to go, I still don't like the uncertainty of knowing if I will need it or not.

Oh and also if you are going to drive against the traffic at night, you really need to use the headlight on your bike no matter how annoying it is.

I think you were elected in absentia. Seems to be the new trend, right gypsy?
well, in meetings i always say, give the action items to the person who's not there. works for me. : )

and y'all might regret making me the "CC get-together coordinator".

we may be doing a lot of hiking. : D

and i'll finally get my chance to beat grace-like-rain in a spirited game of tennis. *bwhahaahahaaha*

1. Transmissions are heavy

2. I can sleep on a garage floor under a car

3. Transmissions aren't light

i don't think it counts as "beauty sleep" if it's under a car. just saying.

Do you... Did you strain yourself and then pass out and then try to pass it off as a nap?
(Because I've done that.)

I learned...

That stepping on a piece of glass really stinking hurts. It's amazing how something so tiny can hinder one's walk so much. That can definitely go for spiritual walks as well, I am learning. Something that I deem small and therefore doesn't need to be worried about can actually affect everything else.

That even though it took a while and I procrastinated on the little stuff, being totally unpacked/organized is so freeing.

That I am more loved than I know.

That I have distrust issues that are like that piece of glass, cutting into my thoughts and my heart and my walk with Christ. And it's painful to get it out so I don't, but in reality that's a terrible path of logic because then it creates more problems.

That I really do adore candles. I've been lighting one in almost every room of the house, not even all the same scent. I love their fragrances and the soft, flickering light they give.

All in one week. Phew.

I learned that people have different definitions of words.

This week a girl tells me, "We should just do something really spontaneous!"
I say, "I LOVE spontaneous! Tell me what day you're open, and I'll plan something."

I’ve learned that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is stalk them and hope they panic and give in.

I’ve learned that it takes years to build up trust, and it only takes suspicion, not proof, to destroy it.

I’ve learned that you can keep vomiting long after you think you’re finished.

I’ve learned that we are responsible for what we do, unless we are celebrities.

I’ve learned that regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, the passion fades, and there had better be a lot of money to take its place!

I’ve learned that 99% of the time when something isn’t working in your house, one of your kids did it.

I’ve learned that the people you care most about in life are taken from you too soon and all the less important ones just never go away.
