What are some things that melt you when you see a member of the opposite gender do them?

Mine:
hold a baby...even awkwardly :)
change a diaper
help an old person do something
be sweet to his mom/gramma/sisters
hug people without it appearing unnatural to him
wash dishes
get really dirty doing something
dance...even if he looks goofy..he's just having FUN and doesn't care that he looks goofy :)
sings...even if it's badly
pray, especially on his knees
read scripture..out loud

A couple of times this story I've told about what happened while I was on my first mission trip (which was just June of this year :D) has made me go aww, and it will probably make you go aww too. :)

I was on a mission trip in Cincinnati as some of you may know. :)

Well, on the next to last day of the mission trip, we were walking around when my flip-flops broke as I was going into this whole presentation thing. And I tried everything to fix this flip-flop. From duct-tape (we were making duct tape wallets) to super strong glue. It didn't hold. And I had to walk on 100-degree pavement (not exaggerating...it was 85-90 degrees out that day. So one could only imagine how much hotter the pavement was under the sun.) to walk into this worship session. As we were walking to it, I teased earlier to one of the guys I started to get to know a little better (one of those things where I knew of him but didn't really know him. Him and I are pretty good friends now, though. :)) and become friends with him, and said, "This is why you bring an extra pair of flip-flops." and he looks at the flip-flop, raises his eyebrows, looks at me and smiles warmly and laughs a little bit and told me about how that happened to him recently at his college orientation (he just graduated high-school). :) But yeah, walking on hot pavement barefoot when you don't really walk barefoot HURT. BAD. >.<

So we went into the worship session, prayed, was given some awesome words of encouragement...but still was shoeless at the very end of it, even though I was also asking God what to do and hoping someone would help me out somehow. Because no one had an extra pair of shoes or anything. Or so I thought...

As I was walking out, I was REALLY praying, and was praying, "God, I REALLY don't wanna walk on that hot pavement again...what am I supposed to do??" and you know what happens? :)

The same guy I talked to earlier, joking on why you bring an extra pair of flip-flops, approaches me as I was walking out the door saying, "Hey, I just realized this, but I have an extra pair of flip-flops in my backpack if you want them."

In my head I was going all ":O AWW!! He is SO SWEET!!" and I said to him, extremely surprised, "Yeah, sure, if you want to." and he said, "Okay, I'll go get them." and got them, gave them to me saying, "They're probably gonna be a little bit big." and I laughed saying, "Yeah, probably." but not minding at all. and he set them down and took the other flip-flop that wasn't broken and put it in his backpack haha (though when we got back to our host home, since we didn't stay in hotels, that he could go ahead and throw that one away since I threw the broken one away earlier as we were heading out of the worship session lol).

And later that night before we all headed off to go get ready for bed and stuff he told me that I could use his extra pair of flip-flops if I wanted to or needed to :) which I did since we did a car-wash haha.

I told some of the youth group girls what he did and they all went "Aaaawwww!! :)" hahaha! Typical girl :p

But other than that...guys with puppies/cute animals and babies make me go aww. LOL

I agree with all of the above. I would add:
- when they blush
- when they comfort a crying child or read to them
-when they reach to hold his girl's hand
- when he says "I love you" to someone

When they:

- Play with kids
- Hold a baby (it seems we all agree on this one)
- Can take care of an old person. This one is a little bit personal since I've seen my brother do this with my grandpa, sometimes we help change his diapers or feed him.
- Show affection to their pet
- Kiss their mom, grandma, or sister or show any kind of affection, like joking around with them.
- Are able to worship anywhere, anytime. I'm not saying that they shold worship ALL the time, but I like to see the willingness :).
- Read and study their Bible
- Pray
- Take a stand for justice and mercy. I melt everytime I see guys in movies defending the weak and battling criminals. That's why we all love superheroes :).

It looks like the guys are all too chicken to join in here, so I'll break the ice for them.

Obviously the things that melt a guys heart are going to be a bit different than for you ladies.

-isn't scared to get dirty
-is respectful towards men
-her walk with the Lord inspires me to dig deeper

I'll probably revisit this tomorrow, but it's late and I'm tired.

Again, the expression 'aww' is seldom used by me.

Admirable qualities, however:

~Inspiring: Be it in faith, life, work, whatever...if a woman can inspire me...the world better watch out!

~Genuine: I'm an INFJ, and am wired with enough complexities, seeing through lies, hating what's fake, ext already...so a girl/woman/person who just 'is who they are' always...is quite refreshing.

~Unique: Someone who is not 'just like everyone else' or "normal" generally peaks my interest

~(true, not faked) Vulnerability: Guys are natural protectors anyway, and the INFJ is titled "The Protector"...so naturally, If you give yourself to me, always being honest, open, vulnerable, real...be it to come as a romantic relationship or not...there is a high probability I will swiftly cherish you

~Behavior: I'm both an introvert and extrovert, or 'ambidextrous if you will. I value civility, chivalry, and varying levels of formality. If a woman can be Princess Dianna in public, Mother Theresa in ministry, and just they plain, common, no ceremony, makeup, or anything but down-to-earth selves in private with me...bonus ponts!

~Versatility/adaptability: Change happens. If you can roll with me; I'll wanna sail with you. Not all work or all fun, but everything in moderation and balance.

~General impressiveness: If she's smart, good at something, wonderful with people, or anything 'above par'...*puppy eyes*

{!}Special Category{!}

Art: I'm an artist, and a sucker for it. If she can sing, draw, paint, sculpt, play music, dance, cook, or any other artistic thing...it's like beginning with a Bonus Starter Pack! This ties back into the Inspiration/impressiveness

I'm sure there are more, like being maternal/loving-gentle with people...but this is a good start, and I like what others have put!

If she's watching football with me, wearing the jersey of her favorite team, getting really in to the game emotionally, then looks back at me, making sure I realize how cute she is getting all excited over the game.

When she's soooo angry over something, to the point she looks too mad, and instead is just cute, but you can't laugh, cuz then ...well...it wouldn't be cute.

When she has that look in her eyes, like her mind is in a totally different place, and you can tell she's thinking deeply about something, and/or planning someone's demise.

When you call her on her own bologna/hog wash, and for a split second you know, that she knows, that you totally have a point, and she doesn't know whether to deflect it, retaliate, or severely hurt you, or give you the Claire Huxtable death stare.

Stilly, as I keep watching her do it over and over I keep laughing too hard to write a response to this post! It just makes my heart melt when I see a guy holding a baby, especially his child because you see a love that I bet he has never experienced before. I also am very impressed when he holds the door for a woman or gives her flowers just because.

I think serving others without any expectation of payment kinda tugs at my heart strings. And of course if a guy plays with Kyla and makes her laugh. ^_^

Haha, once again I had to like all the posts :). I shall make this addendum: I don't like it when he hugs people if it's obvious they don't like it, or if he's also creepy. I only like it if he likes animals the right amount; slobbering on the dog is a turn off to me (yes, I have seem extreme PDAs of the human/animal kind. NOT a pretty sight :/). I like the ones who can think about things, and don't immediately think "the political party I most often agree with thinks this, so I shall also; they must be right". It's not an immediate "AWWW", though; it takes a few seconds to kick in.

Stilly, what if the girl is able to swallow her violent desires and whisper "I suppose you're right" instead of hurting you or retaliating? That post was very amusing, BTW, though I'm not sure you were serious about any of it. :)

Okay, I'm kind of a private person, so I probably said enough for now :).

Small. Intimate gestures have an "awwing" affect. Like when a girl/woman/wife sits close to her guy, or grabs his hands, or jumps on his back, touches his face, ext..

It's a little hard for me to think of. Most of these things make me sad, so I don't exactly seek them out or dwell there for long.

I normally only use awww about babies or animals (and way more in writing than actually saying it :p )

I think it's cute when a guy manage to be be super flirty without being creepy.
You know, the kind that is just friendly and kind toward everyone, with that special look in his eyes as if he is plotting something 24-7, but would never do something that was crossing any boundaries.
