I bought the first season of two and a half men the other day, which is pointless. I've seen the entire first season and never want to rewatch it again. I'm not a big rewatcher (except for high quality stuff, like the goonies). I also got the first season of a show called Alias, never seen it, never heard of it, probably wouldn't like it.......so why did I buy them? They were a dollar a piece. I've got a sweeeeeeet flea market near my house. Bought a big gigantic quantity of tooth brushes. Why? These were also a dollar (like for the bulk of them, not a dollar per tooth brush). I bought a pair of shoes I didn't like or need at walmart. Why? They were brand new, my size, and 2 dollars. I actually wore them one day and they grew on me and became my favorite pair. lol. I can't resist an epic deal.

I was going to say I had a gf once when I didn't need one, but I guess I didn't buy her so that doesn't count.

I did buy one of these though...

I disagree. Those ARE necessary... lol.

Yeah, I bought a book on Partial Differential Equations just to realized, why on God's good Earth did I get this thing in the first place??

...a couple of months later, another "Diff E" text book joined the shelf. Oh boy...
:p

We've all done it... bought something we really didn't need because we couldn't resist buying it for one reason or another.

So tell us.. what did you buy and why? Don't be shy! :)
whaa... who has the money for that !?

Glad to see you stocked up on 'tooth' brush's. I live in the state that invented the 'tooth' brush. Kentucky. Most of us here have only one 'tooth'. Had we had more than one 'tooth' the 'tooth' brush would have been called a 'teeth' brush.

Sometimes I will buy shampoo or bodywash when I am not fully put, just cus I am bored of my current one. Just to shake things up. It also serves a purpose as a providing me backup supply incase I suddenly become poor and cannot buy hygiene products XD

I have a tad bit of an obsession with buying band merchandise! Posters, t shirts, wrist bands. I end up using an insane amount on those things, which I can admit is unnecessary.. But whenever I see that kind of stuff of my fave bands....I cannot seem to keep money to long.

I don't purchase anything.

I also have a strange obsession with yoga pants and capris. I own about 30 pairs.
me too, but i prefer the looser fitting, wider/straight leg style, as opposed those that wear like a second skin. i'm also mildly obsessed with the same with "hanes-style" men's v neck and tank shirts.

i used to be a kitchen gadget person, but then i realized that i hardly used them, and got rid of 80% of them, and now i sort of eschew them.

back when i was mountain biking a lot, i bought this awesome, full suspension/titanium frame bike that i fell in love with. and then i discovered that i didn't love it as much as my old bike, and it eventually got rid of it.

as to other things that i buy that i really don't need? mostly that would be body butter/moisturizers and lip gloss/balm.

and i would be remiss to mention that i've probably got several pairs of boots i've yet to wear (yet). but i will, eventually. : )

Also charities. I am bad at that. Like tonight I downed $70 on supplies for the shelter. In the past I had given to 3 charities monthly at a time with barely little income. It would be the Christian thing to do BUT I don't think, I disregard my responsibilities and bills. Like I just remembered a bill that I should have saved that money for. Now I have to come up with the money so my phone doesn't get disconnected. It's not that I do it cus I need to feel good about myself, I do it because I am irresponsible and cannot say no. I need to help. I need to do something. There is a need. There is a plea. I have to fill it. I don't care about my bills.

Hmm perhaps that is not the same exact example cus it's not some thing I didn't need to buy. Just something I did without caring about the consequences

k never mind.

Re: Things you didn't need to buy, but went ahead and bought anyway (let's hear it!)

This thrift store I was at yesterday had a whole bunch of boxes of stuff gift wrapped. Some boxes said "child," others, "adult." They were all priced for $1.00, so I bought a box. I opened it later that day. It was one of those foamy insulator thingies you use to keep your drink cold that was covered in an orange Hawaiian print, and a matching hot water bottle...which is weird because I didn't thing people still used those.

Did you need that non-pair of glasses?

More video games. Not even sure why I buy them since I almost never play these days.
