I agree there is too much junk out there now that passes off as literature all for the bottom line of selling some books for profit....I don't really care for a lot of the fiction works put out by most now, I really like reading biographies/autobiographies of real life people, and stuff about the occult such as beliefs/rituals (not to practice of course, but to know how the other side operates and be aware of it) afterall if you don't know your enemy you can't combat him.... :) and we need to be wise as snakes but innocent as doves as Jesus said.

The fact is we are inundated by occult imagery daily w/o our knowledge b/c it is hidden in a lot of our media/logos....I think it is interesting to see things in a different way once you know what the symbols mean....

Like my father used to say. i just wish i learn from their mistakes also, not just read for the sake of reading.

This is just to have a friendly discussion of what our non-digital entertainment/activities we do to have fun.....sometimes I find that TV/Internet/Digital things bore me quite a bit.....and I enjoy rudimentary things like fishing, or sitting outside.....so what's yours?
Ahh, I've always really wanted to take a break from the internetz and take the time to just appreciate nature! (Never gonna happen though, knowing I can't stand a day without video calling mom and younger siblings, always homesick PLUS I work in IT so ugh).

Anyway, I love biking! Especially in parks, the cool breeze blowing through my hair, listening to tobyMac, it's refreshing and it's refreshing!!

I read too, and ponder about happy things xD

U do! in that case what time do u need to go to sleep.. or do u manage naps during the day so u dont feel like a zombie at 7 pm?

i do take naps, sometimes, for a couple hours, if i don't have other things to do. i juggle consulting work and a thesis for grad school ((i'm working on a phd in math, but taking a break for a semester or more right now, to work)) and other things at the same time i'm doing this job that has me up so early.

i try to go to bed by 7 or 8 ((would be asleep already right now but we have a Bible study group wed. nights.. thursday mornings are always hard)) -- because i always like to get up about 2hrs before i leave, which means 1 or 2 am, sometimes 11pm! i want to be fully awake, having had time to do some morning devotions, eat breakfast, and down a half a pot of coffee before i leave.
but it seems like i end up getting only around 4 hours of sleep per night during the week (i've been tracking this with an app for 2 months now, actually)) and then come saturday i sleep about 12 hours one day. yes, come 7 pm, i'm very sleepy - usually have been awake for a looong time by then.

can't keep doing this -- i have to get to sleep earlier, so i get at least 6 hours before i wake up :p
which, thankfully, the last week has been better. but still, thursday mornings are hard. sometimes i've skipped wed. night Bible study, to sleep, but God keeps calling me to teach there. which i am soooo scared to do, but it seems to bless everyone, and me too, to be praying for and given things to teach ((which is again, SOOO strange -- all my life i've wanted to do anything BUT teach, avoiding it like plague))... and i really dearly love our family there in Christ, so i am very sad to miss it, ever.

so thursday mornings are hard. i typically only sleep 2 or 3 hours wed. night -- i'm off to bed right now, actually, just winding down; just got in.

there is something you can pray for post over :)
to get sleep, to lay down when he needs to -- because post will just keep going half-awake for days, if he doesn't force himself to lay down. post's brain has a hard time shutting off!

thank you sis; you're showing me love :)

Hi, cant believe it's been a week. This is what i get for being half awake during the day too. Isnt that nice, a phD in math, math wc is said to be one of those subjects that's the stepping stone for those who want to study science. Perhaps the little math i recall is that saying the shortest distance bet. 2 points..is a line. Abt which i had a 'funny' experience the last week i havent shared w/ others yet but one person.

Anway, if possible i like to stretch and wriggle early in the day, even before sunrise, and take deep breaths. I strive to water plants when it seems a hot or dry day, and read in between tasks (which brought me to an interesting read in Hektoen International). i wish i could still, and that is write bits and pcs. for family who will read.

I try to read every day. My week is filled with tennis and running and study. I will catch up with a friend every weekend. I enjoy being productive with my time.

I really enjoy running, swimming, and just spending time outdoors when the weather is nice. I'm not a fan of cold weather or snow so I spend a lot more time indoors during the winter:) I enjoy playing various board games ( chess is my favorite).

I play volleyball, teach violin, homework, and try to volunteer.
Yep that's mostly it haha. I run every morning I guess that's outside of technology...

Very cool. Violin is such a difficult instrument to master:)

There were a few tough things for me a long the way, but really oddly enough I didn't find it that difficult. I actually taught myself most of it. Started out with a teacher and couldn't afford it so I had to teach myself. Then decided to teach others. Best decision ever haha

Enjoy camping and fishing although I haven't been in a while. Read. Motorcycle. Needlework. Lately it seems the biggest bulk of my time is chasing my 3 year old, VERY active grandson
