Guess I'm a Zelda geek. I have a replica Twilight Princess Master Sword and Hylian Shield- which are my two most prized possessions. I have a complete Ocarina Of Time Link costume that I cosplay in at cons. I have Hyrule Historia- my third most prized possession, and the Skyward Sword guide (haven't been able to add to my collection ) as well as the Skyward Sword map all framed on my wall next to the sword and shield. Got a couple Zelda tees and a hinged triforce wallet. Anytime someone sees something Zelda, they send me a picture of it. I've wanted so badly to add to my collection, but I have no room at the moment. I need to get rid of some stuff... and get a beautiful Medicom Link *shivers with excitement*

Well I find myself weird...to others I guess....forgive me if I sound egotistical.

Love Jesus, love watching plays, theatrical acting, I play the piano, favorite genre of music is classical (no modern classical, Mozart my fav), I have a tea drinking habit...my staple. I write poetry on leisure time, interested in Asian cultures, history, and their people. I don't believe man has walked on the moon. I love studying history, I most likely read only non fiction books, not a fan of much fictional. Other than classical, second best might be underground hip-hop. I barely watch tv or play video games (rarely). I'm an outdoor person, love biking. My favorite field of study is theology.

posting a Venn diagram describing set relationships between geek, nerd and dork definitely qualifies you as a geek. or a nerd. or a dork. I'd argue about the accuracy of the diagram but then i'd really be a nerd!

* i have a math degree and am working on another one
* i collected every single coffee cup in Fallout 3 and put them all in one room, locking up my xbox whenever i step into it. thousands.
* i could talk for hours about a space elevator
* one of my favorite sci fi novels ( as if reading a lot of sci fi isn't qualification enough) involves an antagonist that is a sentient alien business model and a protagonist that is an uploaded lobster hive mind.
* i can't stand "the big bang theory" because i find many of the references to physics shallow & flawed
* i use words like "protagonist" and "antagonist" in everyday conversation

Though I'm not hooked on either, I have watched MacGyver, Star Trek, Quanum Leap, Time Trax etc
I've seen all episodes of Firefly (and most of Death Note. Not sure there are any more epiosdes after... uh, I better not write a spoiler)

Apparently being a nerd/geek is now cool.
Well what's really cool, is being a non-nerd/non-geek, who calls themselves a nerd/geek, cuz that's cool now. Then what makes one of these non-nerd/geeks a nerd is to discuss something they're obsessed about. Then they say..oh wow..I'm obsessed over "fill in the blank"..I'm such a nerd/geek!

Meanwhile the true nerd/geeks are still alone, in their apartments/houses playing online chess, or other games, while amassing pizza boxes and BO.

So what makes a true geek?

I'd say obsession over at least three things which in return drastically intrudes on having a social life of any sorts.
