Nope. :) Relationships where people feel the need to prove something to one another tend to fizzle out rather quickly. It becomes more about the game than the relationship.

Relationships are about working together, not against one another. :)

Girl hears: You look disgusting, hasn't anybody ever told you about cosmetic surgeries?

I think that a comment like in bold said by the guy should be saved for deeeeep into the relationship.
That is a awkward comment in a first date, for certain, and, I would reserve that comment for 'never' myself in that exact form.

Now, here if, guys, you want away to deepen a relationship after, Lord leading, time is right:

Guy says: You are a precious girl of the Lord.
Girl thinks: I want to marry you.

My thought on that, julieannie, since you said you had a guy you went out with say that 'You are a precious sister of the Lord' comment to you ,and, the guy you said was saying it to you as serious affection to you. That just SCREAMS! creepy to me .
