Hmm...perhaps the cuddle talk should cease, maybe its time to say goodbye to the thread.

Sorry if I said anything offensive btw.

So, if something is in a worldly slang dictionary, but offends Christians, it is okay to use in a Christian forum? Interesting...

Agreed, arwen. Sometimes we just have to walk away...

Moving on...

Side-hugs. Who invented them? And why are they deemed to be hugs? A hug isn't a hug, unless it's a bear hug!

Yes, I love hugs but if I'm interested in a girl and I think hugging her would be too much (lol), I'd just leave it. No pointing feeding temptation. Of course, I also ask people if it's okay to hug them, before initiating one.

Yes, that's the reason I've never hugged a girl I've been interested in. Although, I wouldn't call it a crush. Admiring someone's beautiful (physical, character etc.) isn't bad, but it's so easy to fall into lust).

I think certain words for some, in certain contexts, are not offensive. But in Christian love, now that some know that others find certain words offensive, I think it would be more scriptural to use the other words in our vocabulary that aren't offensive.

Now I know at this point, some may get absurd and say something like, "Fine I think the word THE is offensive, now you can't say THE." This tactic may be used by some to blur the lines between what is truly a legit form of offensiveness and what isn't a legit form of offensiveness. If someone is tempted to stoop to this level of absurdity, please don't. For one, it's absurd. For another, I don't have the time to wrangle back and forth over my simple request to exercise Christian love by NOT using certain words you know others are finding offensive.

Thanks.

iJustWantTheTruth, I hug family and friends - guys and girls. Also, it helps because my crushes are always one-sided (lol).

i totally understand that. but i do just want to point out that only one person voiced their offense at that word.

Sorry, I don't talk to players :p
Ah so that's why ummm.... nevermind. I'm not a player, really. Most of the female friends I have on my friends list here sent me a friend request (with a few exceptions of course). I don't go around trying to make friends with all the women here, although now that I think about it...

And, yes I would cuddle with a female friend. It puts me in the friendzone too, and if it didn't I'd probably die of shock.

AND please, if you are one of my friends on here, please know that I value your friendship. I really doooooooo!

But isn't the Friendzone something to avoid if you are attracted to a girl? Nice use of "Dumb and Dumber" by the way.

well for me? i had a 'cuddlebuddy' who i 'friend-zoned' for a long time. but i did. i fell for him. so i wouldnt like completely give up hope on platonic cuddle buddies/ sisterly figures.

however. i ended up breaking up with him so.... i dunno which is worse. being friend zoned or having your heart broken :) lol. i think the former is better. :D

Yes, but avoiding the friendzone to me is like trying to avoid getting wet while swimming.

I hear you, Zero, I really do. I identify with the Friendzone. "Christian, you're a great guy but you're too nice." Ouch. (lol)
