I don't think that there are only less men in the church today, there are less people of both genders who are true Christians now a days.

I would definitely not date/marry someone who is not a Christian. I've seen too many unequally yoked marriages end in divorce, although, I've also seen some that were equally yoked end in divorce too. But, I think dating/marrying a non-Christian just isn't wise for those of us who our relationship with God is important because you won't have that foundation of Christ in your relationship.

As far as age is concerned, I would want someone who is somewhat close in age to me, at least no more than 8-10 years older or 2-3 years younger.
I agree. Marriage is serious business. If it ends in divorce it's questionable whether another one would be okay with God. Remaining single is preferrable, because at least you still have the hope that one day you will find the right one. Whereas if you're already divorced, then there's not a lot of hope for you if you want to obey God and refrain from adultery.
